Pre - Loaded Data SIM Lasts up to 24 months
I bought this to use when on holiday around the UK.Fast delivery from the seller, very simple to set up, I just put it into my TP Link router and away it went. The two years start from the date it is first connected to the 3 network.Setting up an account with 3 so that I could check the data useage was a bit more complicated. You have to use the internet connection of the sim card itself to set it up, once I worked that out it was simple.Just one other thing as with most sims you MUST use it at least once every 180 days or it will expire early. As I intend to have it running as a background backup to my home BB that should not be a problem. As for the 24 months life? well time will tell if thats true.At the price it would be good for ioT stuff as well if you dont want to be tied into a contract.Watch this space for updates later ;-).UPDATE 1:Its been running for over 12 months now and still working well, my expiry is August 2025.As I said above I leave it on and connected 24/7 at home to prevent the sim "expiring".So far very pleased, I will buy another in 2025 as long as its still available and the price is not too high.5*.UPDATE 2:19-3-2025, Its now the middle of March 2025 and the sim is still working fine and surprisingly I still have 9GB left, very highly reccomended.

Great value but not always best transfer rate
If you need occasional out-of-home use for a laptop (with WWAN card or dongle) or tablet/phone (with cellular modem) this is the best value SIM I found. It can also work well as a backup for broadband (cable/DLS) if you have a router that supports backup WWAN - especially these days when we work from home and the broadband drops!!!You can use all 24GB in one month if needed or a little each day/month and then have it work for the 2 years. While the cost has unfortunately gone up through the years (4-5 years ago it used to be 1/2 price now), when reduced it is good value with just over 1 quid/month.As always the connection performance wholly depends on your location/tower and while in some places you can get ~80-100Mbit down, in some places you'll get 10% of that. It does seem that there is some prioritization involved as a contract Three SIM performs much better connected to the same tower - but I guess far higher cost.Note there are free SIMs out there (Three, EE, etc.) that give you 100-200MB free per month which may be even cheaper than this (free ;) if your needs are very modest. The issue is that if you do need to use more you're forced to pay a relatively hefty add-on - and if that happens regularly then a SIM like this can be better.

Great deal for the money, perfect for LTE tablets/laptops
I bought this data sim to use with my LTE version of Surface Pro 2017. Since I wasn't willing to take on another monthly contract just for my Surface I looked for options without a monthly fee. This was the best option that I found and I believe that it's the best one out there at the moment in the UK.24GB is plenty of data and will last months when used for normal internet browsing and emails if you avoid videos and large file downloads. So far after a month of almost daily use I still have almost 23GB left.I also like the fact that the data can be used over a period of 2 years, which is plenty of time. The only downside (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that once you run out of data, the top ups are a bit pricey and any unused top-up data expires after 30 days. I would really like for top-up data to last for 2 years, just like the data that's initially preloaded on the card. I think that once I run out of the 24GB of initial data I will just buy a new card, since that works out cheaper than having to top-up the existing one, which is a bit of a shame. In regards to connection quality, I'm getting excellent coverage and speeds in Glasgow. Speeds above 30mbps are nothing unusual and I've measured 60mbps on some occasions.Overall, if you're looking for a data card for your secondary mobile device (i.e. ipad or laptop) and you don't want to pay any monthly fees then this is the best option out there.

Works Great!
I use this 24gb Data SIM in my ZTE Travel Router and it works great.I activated the SIM once I had created my "My3" account (as detailed in the instructions) and popped it into router - all worked immediately with no hassle.I have used a GiffGaff (O2) SIM previously and that was trickier in that you had to set up the APN etc. That's not necessary with this '3' SIM. This one is also more economical as the data lasts for up to 24 months whereas I was topping up my GiffGaff account every 30 days. I seem to get a good signal in most locations I travel to and transfer rates are excellent.I hope to be able to try the SIM out abroad in the summer (if we can travel). Once the data allowance is used up, I will simply buy another SIM (as top ups are more expensive). In the meantime, I am very pleased.
