Well known and robust the Seiko 5 Automatic series. Stainless steel case measures 43mm diameter by 12mm thick. Sturdy link bracelet includes a push button deployment clasp. Luminous hands and hour markers contrast well with the black dial. Day and date display at the third hour. A scratch resistant Hardlex crystal protects the precise Automatic movement. Water resistant to 100 meters.

The Fifty Five Fathoms in all its glory
Got the K model (made in Singapore, I think). Really, aside from it not saying Made In Japan on the dial, the watch looks amazing. It's a heavy chunk of metal, but that heft offers it a sense of quality you can also see in the applied indices on the dial. The only thing I don't like is Seiko's tendency to write "sport" beneath the Seiko 5 logo, but it's a Seiko thing, I guess. The metal bracelet is well put together, and the bezel turns with solid clicks. Certainly, it's not at the level of a Rolex, but for a $150 watch, you simply cannot beat the fit and finish of this piece. I'd say, even watches at four times the price might have a tough time matching this H55.I also like how Seiko managed to blend the look of a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and an Omega Seamaster without it appearing gimmicky. It really is a good looking piece.

Got it on time. The watch looks great. Would definitely reccommend this to people who need a good quality watch that you want to dress up to and even wear casually. I personally got it because i really like the submariner watch (ROLEX), that my dad has, but cannot afford it. I found these as a cheap, affordable, good alternative. While it may not be the same, as far as quality, it will get the job done. As a casual watch wearer I am happy with the watch.

Nice Watch, but "Movement Malaysia"?
Only problem I have with the watch, as noted in the title, it says "Movement Malaysia" right on the back of the watch. For the money, I figured this watch will be either made in Japan, or worst case scenario, "Movement Japan" & cased in China. If I didn't trust the Seiko name, I would have returned this watch. Had I known that this watch was going to be "Movement Malaysia" before I ordered it, I would not have ordered this watch. No offense meant to Malaysia or China. Now moving on to the good. After I received the watch, after wearing it outside for about 30 minutes on a cloudy afternoon, as soon as I walk in, I notice the luminous marking on the watch looking bright in dim, but not complete dark apartment. I'm no expert, but to me, that was a good sign that this glow-in-the-dark stuff is working well.I used the 16-piece watch tool kit(also from Amazon) to adjust the band size. Little bit tricky, but definitely not hard. From the case, band, clasp, I'm happy with the quality. It's not a $300-quality watch as the MSRP suggest but Amazon price I think was reasonable. Craftsmanship is solid.I wanted a simple watch that just had calendar feature, and this watch did deliver. Even setting the time, day, date was extremely easy & simple.I just got the watch, so I can't comment on its' reliability, obviously. Should anything noteworthy come up, I'll make sure to update this review.Edit: This is super embarrassing, but I did not know what "automatic" movement was, nor realize that this was a automatic watch when I purchased it. Initially, I thought it was cool, as I no longer needed to change batteries. First weekend after getting this watch, I didn't wear it once. Monday morning, I noticed it said "Sunday", and the time was also off. So to other ignorant wearer like myself, you might want to keep in mind that you have to wear this watch, probably at least every other day, or you have to set the time, day & date whenever you wear it again. It still remains the same four-star watch for me. Been very happy with this one.P.S. I've been told that Seiko's Malaysia-made movement is proven & very solid.

Great watch for the price. I love my automatics.
Seiko has so many better watch bands, and while this one is easy to adjust, it is far lower quality than so many others they sell. The timepiece itself is good, the movement is functional, and in my three days of wearing it, the time seems to be kept accurately. The day date window is clear and the print is clear and readable. The exhibition window on the back is nice, but reveals the lower quality movement. and less than freely moving pendulum winding mechanism. All in all I'd give it an 8, and possibly higher with the lower costs. After running the gambit in the watch world, and spending way to much for higher end watches, I've decided to downsize drastically.A comparative study on watch quality.Warranty return, replacements by brand:Anonimo D-Date - Returned to Switzerland, and received an acknowledgement of receipt. Three months later, after many emails and calls, I was told the watch was misplaced and they would settle with me for $500. This for my $2,800 watch.Panerai Luminor - Stopped dead in it's tracks. Tried to get it warranted, and was told the damage was from abuse. Interesting determination since they never saw the watch. Sold it to a guy for half it's value who said he had an in at Panerai. He did, got it fixed for free, and reported being happy.Tag Heuer Aquaracer - Great watch with no issues, just sold it to get a different time peace.Tissot PRS516. The 9 O'clock hour hand fell off. I contacted Tissot and was told it was under warranty. They would fix it if I paid the shipping to them, and the $250 service charge for cleaning, otherwise to (my term) get bent. Since I paid $525 for the watch, I took it down and gave it to a jeweler friend for parts.I now own two watches - A Casio Illuminator and this Seiko. Yes, if I could afford them I would own a Hublot MP-05, a Urwerk UR-210CP, and Christophe Claret X-Trem 1.

Amazing Value. High quality watch.
Lots of watch for the money. Gets more compliments than my more expensive watches. I wear this as a work watch in construction and it’s been very durable. Constant daily wear, in the gym, skiing, pool and sleeping still typically gains no more than about 2 minutes a week. Highly recommended.

Classic quality
Love this watch. Price was very reasonable, I have alot of watches but as soon as this watch arrived it became my favorite, the quality is amazing. It's a timeless classic. It isnt overly large and never needs a battery its looks amazing and I get alot of comments about it. This seller managed to get my watch to me in under a week during the pandemic I would definitely recommend them as a seller. Germany to the uk in 5 days in the middle of the covid pandemic is very good and the watch was Packaged well. Cant fault the watch or seller.
