Works with DD-WRT
Using as a VPN router using DD-WRT tomato firmware, found it pretty easy to flash, and now it has many great features it would'nt of had without, The version I got from amazon was V3 but did eventually find that you can now flash the v3 version as wellI have found the wireless not quite as strong as my apple router but I think its pretty much due to having two routers in the same house im sure i could improve this by changing the channelI'm sure theres much better routers out there that can be flashed but for the money I'm happy

Having a duel band router is certainly a plus as my previous Plusnet router was single band, my laptops kept losing the wifi signal and as plusnet were not interested in solving the problem I was forced to buy a new router. The Linksys EA6350 is a fine purchase and has provided me with a stable and consistent wifi signal. One minor criticism is that the signal strength is no better than my plusnet router, and as Linksys claim that the router has "Ultimate range" (whatever that means) it's a little dissappointing.

Fantastic piece of kit
Been looking for a long while for perfect software / and or hardware to restrict kids time on internet, various apps which have monthly subscriptions, and various hardware but not all have time restrictions on. Been up and running for a few days now, and this is perfect, very easy to set up, plugged into my current virgin box, and set up very easy via a laptop - software very user friendly. All devices on network can be given time restrictions. Still get 5 stars, but would be nice to be able to set exact time, but only in 1 hour blocks, would also like to see a time allowance within that period for all devices that user is allocated to. Speed is fine for online gaming, 2 kids on consoles and other devices on line, no problems, also covers all areas of house were virgin box did struggle in one corner of house and needed a wifi extender, but this is no longer needed. APP for phone just as easy to set up, wifi can be monitored (even remotely) and settings changed from here, and devices removed if required. 5 STARS all round for ease of set up, hardware, sofrtware and app, range, speed, parental control (would like to see this developed further though).

Happy but it's not new
I'm very happy with this router which arrived very quickly. It has given me a much better signal than the old one. Very easy to set up. Only thing is, it was only when it arrived that I noticed that the box was labelled 'Used - as New'. Checking back, the order confirmation says this as well but I can't see anywhere that it says that it is not a new item on the original ad.

Best for price!
I am a top tier Virgin Media customer currently on their 500mbps Ultimate Oomph service and as per most ISP internet packages the router just couldn't keep up! (Super Hub 3), Originally I went for a TP-Link AC 1300 (Archer C5 V2) and I found though the TP-Link and the Linksys are rated the same, the Linksys is almost double the speeds! The TP-Link speed dropped after a year of use to just 150mbps, the new Linksys I purchased is now delivering a solid 500+ over internet and hammering out 1000mbps on my internal network!Wi-Fi went from around 80-120 mbps on the TP-Link to around 250-300 on all my 5ghz supported devices (Laptops, Samsung and Razer Phones). Thus far, the 5G range is pretty good and I am able to receive Wi-Fi in the garden (Bungalow, full coverage can be hard!)Not to mention, the Linksys interface is super easy to use, and has a whole host of options for the well versed techie to dive into and configure, as well as decent custom firmware support!

Beware the obnoxious setup routine
A fairly good router that is let down by the obnoxious attempt at data grabbing by the manufacturer. When you first set this up, don't fall into the trap of following the directions to login to the wifi with the default details and going to their online setup service, instead hook it up to a PC directly with the network cable, enter the address of 192.168.1.1 and use the password ' admin ' to login, and do a manual configuration, that way you can decide what, if anything, you might wish to share with the manufacturer. You can fully configure your mode and features, and there's always the option to decide whether you want or need to sign up for their online service after the fact.

Average At Best
I bought this router because I had pretty poor WiFi in my house from my provider's hub and also for the traffic prioritisation as I am a gamer and wanted to ensure a seamless connection when gaming. My overall impressions following approximately 6 months use are that it has somewhat improved the WiFi reception in the house. Although I have made some setting changes to the wireless frequency bands which may have had more of an effect. The traffic prioritisation is sketchy at best. It is difficult to judge but I have still experienced some lag at times when gaming and while the missus is watching netflix. Also you are restricted to 3 devices which is not enough for me. Just one or two extra would have been perfect for me. On the plus side the app is easy to use and makes changing settings a doddle. I just wish I had spent the extra money on a proper gaming router.

Good wireless range
I bought this to replace my old Billion 7700N which was getting on a bit and didn't have great wireless range. As this is only a router I also bought a linksys TD-W8960N to use as a modem(to connect to plusnet ADSL). I wanted Broadcom chipset for my modem as I am a distance from the exchange and this seemed to come recommended.I have to say I am very impressed. Wireless range is very good and I am no longer getting dropouts at the far corners of my house like I got with the Billion. Would recommend to anyone although I think the app for controlling the router is a bit of a waste of time. I can't see any real need for it once you have setup the router. Would have also been nice to have a wireless timer so that I can set to turn off at night which you can do with the cheap TP-Link.Its early days with the router so will see how it lasts but if its lasts as long as my Billion I will be happy.
