Anker [2-Pack] PowerLine Micro USB (6ft) - Durable Charging Cable, with Aramid Fiber and 5000+ Bend Lifespan for Samsung, Nexus, LG, Motorola, Android Smartphones and More (Black)

I've had to replace a few (micro USB) cables that failed - powering Raspberry Pi 3B / 3B+ which draw up to 3A; thus generally dedicated PSU with AWG20+ wires is needed - but thought why not try one of the best cables on the market - to see if it's good enough.I bought this with my own money so it's not a sponsored review.It does not disappoint:- seems well-made and reasonably cheap for a packet of 2- it manages to power a PI3B+ (that requires over 2.5A) with no issues (so far) which makes sense as it's rated AWG21 for power wires (you want lower number aka thicker wire) and that is quite a feat.- it works both with fast-charge (so 2.5A @ 5V) and quick-charge (so 9V but some may go higher) with Samsung phonesBut for a market leader there are some things to improve:- it is shorter than 2m (meters) - OK 6ft is 1.8m but some competitors manage to be 2m which helps in some cases- there are AWG20 cables on the market - which I was hoping Anker would do also (e.g. PowerLine+ / II) but seems specs for those are 'secret'. It is not clear whether the wire for PL+ or PL II are thicker or not- there is nothing written on the cable so we need to trust Anker it is really AWG21; sure markings does not mean they are true but for a brand that would be riskyFor the cost - it is worth 5 stars. But there are AWG20-rated cables on the market for not much more - but seems Anker has gone in a different direction with PL+/II and not towards thicker cables which I would have liked to see. Perhaps PL III?

I own several Anker products (especially cables) - they are always so long lasting. These cables in particular are strong and charge a phone really quickly. Would recommend to all that if you aren’t going with the brand of your device yourself then use Anker

Update: since reviewing, the seller has been in touch with me. They've apologised for my faulty product, and have even sent me a new package of 2 cables free of charge to make up for it. They've been extremely polite and kind in their messages. I will hold off from 5 stars until I can buy one right away and not have it break on me, or if I find these new ones/one remaining from my last pack to be far superior to the one faulty one so far, I will come back and change my review at a later date.I got them fine. They work brilliantly. Phone falls of the couch once, and the bit that goes into the phone gets bent down a bit. Try and push it back straight and I accidentally push in the bits that hold it in when charging. It still works but it doesn't sit in very well as it's now very loose and easy to come back out. Glad I got a 2 pack - see if the second lasts any longer than a week. I'm really disappointed with chargers lately, none of them last very long.

Not much to say here. They are micro-USB cables. High quality, seem quite thick, so hopefully that means its not just thick insulation, but that the wires inside are thick too. Certainly charges fast, no problem like with some cheap cables with really high internal resistance. good length, bought two magnetic charging adapters to go with these. Well, actually I bought these to go with them, but that shouldn't really matter.Maybe I should have gotten some braided ones, they seem more flexible and with the magnetic adapters these ones tend to twist and pull the magnetic plugs off. But thats not the fault of the cables, thats my fault for not thinking of that properly. Anyways the cables themselves are great, high quality as Anker always seems to be.

I purchased the 2 pack of 6ft USB Micro-B cables as I needed a couple of new ones. I've purchased several Anker products before and have great success so I knew their cables should be decent quality, and, there will be excellent after care support if anything goes wrong with them.They did arrive in a slightly large box - you could probably fit 4 or 5 cables in there but I suspect they use the same packaging for various cable configurations.These cables feel well made and have a fairly thick wire (so hopefully they are well shielded). Despite being quite thick the cable is very flexible and also comes with a Velcro strap so you can keep it coiled up when not in use etc.I know you can buy cheaper cables than these but I really do believe you get what you pay for and my previous positive experiences with Anker products swayed me to pay that little bit extra.Pros:- Good quality cables- Velcro strap for cable management- Anker support is very goodCons:- Perhaps a bit more pricey than other cables

Great cable shame the world has shifted to USB C though I can tell already the C platform is much more durable/rugged that mini and micro usb. Anker Powerline is a solid product !!
