So the bad points first off:1. It is bigger than expected.2. The wiring can be quite confusing if you're not electrically minded.Now onto the good points:1. It works!2. It works exactly as it should!3. It's super cheap!4. It saves electricity!5. In a bathroom, it gets rid of the ugly pull cord!For me, it's a simple case of 5 vs 2. Good product, good price, just make sure you know how to wire it in correctly and be aware it is a bit bigger than you were probably expecting.

Wiring instructions- Document included rather vague- Better info shown on the wiring diagram on the product itself.- Luckily I was replacing a previous PIR unit so I could work it out okay."360 deg" is a bit misleading.- I bought this for our garage which connects to the kitchen and it solves the problem of the light being left on.- The unit I replaced was 180 deg so I thought this would be great...- But it still leaves "blind spot" areas so the light goes off when I'm round the other side of the garage waving frantically!Timing- It takes a few seconds to sense movement and turn the light on.- My previous PIR was quicker but this is no problem.Overall- It works effectively- I rate it 4.5 / 5- I would go to 5/5 if detection in the claimed 360 deg range was a bit more effective.Cost- In April 2014 the price in March 2015 was £8.95 post paid from The Internet Watch Store- Very good value - nothing in the big DIY sheds even approaching this.Service/Delivery- Good comms: Order Confirmation and Despatch Advice.- I ordered late on Saturday evening - it was delivered 3 x working days later- Well packed and correctly addressed etc No complaints.

I put it in the kitchen extension so that when we come in it turns on automatically. Also it is good for security because whenever our cat activates it it looks like there are are people moving around inside. I also have one in the bathroom because our cord switch makes such a loud noise that it wakes people up in the bedroom beside the bathroom.The only little gripe I have with it is that when it switches on it can make quite a loud click,especially at night when it's quite. but it's only a little matter. The sensitivity screws are great too, and you can set the time lapse and darkness sensitivity to your liking. So I have different sensitivity settings in the bathroom and kitchen.

Worked fine for 1 week. Then the sensor started switching lights on every 5 minutes. Tried adjusting but still the same. Looked at retuning but only had a 30 return on it. Don't purchase this.

This came with very poor instructions showing the wrong (non European) colour codes for the wiring. I had no joy with getting better information from the supplier and one of their people actually hung up on me when I expressed my frustration. In the end, I dismantled the unit and found more meaningful wiring instructions stamped on the inside so I was able to get it working. It seems to be OK after a couple of weeks now.

Switches on at the slightest movement, just what you'd expected. No noticeable delay when entering the room.It has a trench to feed the wires through, which is handy if you don't want to chase the wall. However, I had to cut out the plastic side of the switch slightly to feed it to the cable trunking. The result however is very sleek and it's looking great!A clear installation diagram is given on the actual switch, no further documentation is provided but that's no issue as it's very easy to wire up.

The product arrived well packaged and looked neat and tidy. The unit itself is quite large but even so is reasonably unobtrusive. I had a problem regarding the wiring and an inconsistency with the colour coding on the device and in the instructions. The device appears to be coded in line with EU regulations but the instructions seem non EU. After a few emails back and forth to the company I finally spoke to a person named Andrew who correctly and responsibly told me the company couldn't provide wiring instructions by email or telephone and that a qualified electrician should be sought to fit the device or explain the wiring. I had insisted that I just wanted the discrepancy in the device wiring colours and the instructional colour coding explaining and not advice on fitting. Andrew was very understanding and my opinion that showing an image of the device wiring on the Amazon site coupled with his confirmation that the discrepancy would be addressed when he next visited the manufacturer/supplier was assuring. Although initially I was very upset that there could be an issue with the wiring layout, the assurance that it would be addressed is the reason for 4 stars as I know these devices are reliable and effective once fitted!

The instructions were appauling, and resulted in the thing blowing when I connected. I don't really have the time to return this and would probably cost more. Unusable now.The only positive side was that it was delivered fairly promptly, but sorry, I can't give any more than 1 star given it does'nt work now. ,!!Update: after easily printing off free return label and sent this back, got a full refund quickly, so don'n feel quite as disgruntled. After reading other reviews I will probably get another one and get an electrician to install it. Hence increased star to two.
