UUP Portable 12V Air Compressor, 150 PSI Tire Inflator with Dual Cylinders

UUP Tire Inflator Air Compressor, 150PSI 12V DC Double Cylinders Heavy Duty Portable Air Ok folks, this is an honest review. I have beel looking for a 12v dc air compressor for lidterally a couple years now. I was tired of those cheapies that either can't pump up the air while it sounds like it is going to fall apart, or just sound like they will struggle just to get a little air in the tire. Lets face it, when you are on the road and you have a tire that needs air, what are you gonna do? Thats where I was. I have a couple of really cheap air pumps and hoped they would work when I needed them, but I knew I had dto find something that was of better dependability. I noticed my tire was low on air, and I was out of town. My crappy 12v air compressors were at home. I dove into Amazon and started my continuing search for a 12v dc air compressor, but this time I HAD TO FIND ONE. I spent the better part of a day looking for a compressor, a lot of them just didn't look like they could hold up, looking much like my crappy ones at home. I paid a lot of attention to the reviews. This compressor had outstanding reviews. In reviews you expect to hear some crab complain about something stupid, usually from something THEY did to cause the problem. BUT not one bad complaint on thnis unit. Reading further, they talk about how sturdy this compressor was, the dual pistons, the strong motor. One fellow said he used it only on his 18 wheeler, and it preformed for him perfectly... THAT SOLD ME. I ordered to to be delivered where I was staying and it arrived in a coupld days. I read the instructions so I wouldn't miss anything important and went out to the car. THIS compressor has both a cigarette lighter plug and a pig tail that clamps onto the battery posts direct with the cig lighter plug socket where the compressor plug will plugs into. This compressor can take 20 amps (acording to the instructions) so you probably should not plug into the cars cigarette lighter sockete. Some are fused at 10 amps and this compressor will blow the fuse. The compressor cigarette plug also has a fuse, a 20 amp I think and you get a spare fuse or two. You also get a couple of nozzeles for blowing up sports balls and air toys plus you get an odd device that attaches to a screw driver. It has little horns stickin gout in variuos directions and from what I read, is for doing something that I will never do, to the tire. It mayh be to take the tire off the rim but I'm not doing that. You also get a coiled hose that connects to the compressor and nozzel, but you may not need it. You get about 20 feet of electrical cord, which JUST REACHED my tire that was in trouble. This is where the coild of tubing might come in handy or hae an additional 25 foot of wire to connect to extend the rezch of the compressor. you would need a regular cigarette lighter socket on one end and aplug on the other. Plugging into the power we find the compressor has 2 switches, one is for the LED LIGHT and the other is to turn on the compressor motor. Attach the hose to the tire valve, you should get a PSI reading, mine was very low. Turning the motor switch on (strongly advised to have the car running when you do this), and the compressor comes to life. The sound of the compressor running is very different from that of the cheap compressors rattling away. THIS compressor sounds like a large installed compressor in a shop, the sound is muffled as it pumps air into the tire. The air guage monitors the PSI in the tire as it pumps up. This compressor had NO problem pumping up the tire in about 8 minutes. The compressor ran fine, and it had no problem pumping up that tire where my other compressors would be getting hot and struggling to pump the tire pressure up. The sound from the cheap compressors would be very loud where, again, this compressor is very low key, sounds substantial, well built. Filled the tire and took it to a shop where they promptly found a 1/4 inch bolt in the treads. The Tire was repaired and I was on my way. This pump saved the day. Thee is a LED light tdhat you can switch on to help see what you are doing. I RECOMEND THIS COMPRESSOR indeed. The UUP Portable 12 Volt Air Compressor works alot faster than smaller units with single motors. This unit is better suited to fill tires on larger vehicles that require more air volume to get up to 38 pounds or more. This unit cannot be plugged into a 10 AMP car dashboard cigarette lighter as it requires a 25 AMP connection with the included clamps directly to the vehicle's battery. This slight inconvenience of the battery connection is made up for with outstanding performance in filling tires " Quickly ".

I am so glad this in in my truck! I am on the road quite a bit. Knowing it’s there gives me peace of mind. It is a great size, the case stores everything perfectly! It is easy to transport as well. If I need it for something other than the use of my truck, I can grab it and use it around the house. It has several attachments to use for all of your needs. I don’t have to worry about keeping it charged, it works off of the battery or the cigarette lighter. It’s a great little product.!

Great little 12V tire inflator. Duel pumps so rapid air filing and has two different long power cords for connecting to car battery or cigarette lighter. Comes with accessories in a convenient carrying bag and runs very nicely off of 18AH SEL batteries. Comes with a screwdrive like tool that has unknown function, no description in the instructions pamplet, and no response to my on-line contact request for more information. Their on-line registration site doesn’t work either. Great little device, but support is quite weak.

This is absolutely a great compressor for the average vehicle owner who wants the ability keep those tires optimally aired up and for those occasions you notice the need. This aired my truck tire from 40psi to 70psi in eight minutes. I would not use this one for the purpose of regularly working between lower and higher pressures as in when you're needing high pressure for heavy loads and then decreasing psi on a regular basis, only to air up for loads. This compressor got hot with the one tire. So I would not purpose it for constant higher pressure for four tires on a regular basis. There are bigger, heavier duty units for that. But for the most common use for normal tire pressures this one excels.

Pretty good device. Easy to use and works great. Well worth having especially for the price. Seems pretty durable. Hasn't failed me yet.

Good reliable pump have had it for over two years no issues with heavy truck, tires or little car tires very reliable pump

Impressive, well priced pump. Used on my F-450 90 psi 19.5 inch tires - fast and efficient, very happy with this pump. Case and accessories were a bonus - adapter allowed me to hook directly to my battery. Would highly recommended. Gauge is large and seems accurate. A little bigger than I expected but I guess that’s why it worked so well. Would purchase again.

This pump is a very very good product it is built very solid and it is very quiet.i purchased it as when i was away camping a few weeks ago one of my 16 inch truck tires developed a leak they take 60lbs i came out in the morning and the tire was down to 25lbs so i hooked my old one and although it did manage to pump my tire up to 60lbs it took about a hour thats not including the 4 times i had to let it cool down.when i recuved this pump i tried it on one of my truck tires i let air out of it down to 35lbs and hooked up this new one it took mabey 5 minets to pump it up to 60lbs for the quality and price i dont think you will be able to find a better one.oh and the air gauge is fairly accurate as well this is one of the reasons i purchased this one it has a analoge gauge not a digital one with a auto shuttoff i figured it will last a long time with less problems.

I'm working in automotive industry in Singapore and have been searching for reliable 12v portable tire compressor for years. I have purchased and analyze numerous brands in the market, none of them have measure up to my expectation. Finally this UUP tire inflator have finally met my standard, honestly I'm impressed with it's reliability and stability. totally satisfied with it's performance. May require to purchase more for work operation use, perhaps UUP suppliers could give further discount if purchase in bulk.

it's good but not very powerful if you inflate tyres 1 by 1 takes about 5 to 7 min each tyre While inflating all 4 takes Abt 23 minutes from 15 psi to 35 psi 285 R17 Tyres

Excelente sin problemas infla las 4 llantas de mi Camioneta 🛻 Suburban. sin problemas y le hice la prueba una llanta con neumático desinflado y lo inflo muy bien se tardó un poco pero valió la pena después d meses se me poncho una llanta y no pude sacar los birlos ya q se me barrio y no me quedo más q volverla inflar con la mini compresor estando ahí un clavo d gran Diámetro y a un así la inflo sin problemas
