I bought this for my wife a couple of months ago after hearing frequent complaints about her previous mat (made of a thick material that didn’t grip the dressing table).In short she is very pleased with it, another one of those purchases you wish you’d thought to make months ago.The mat is very thick and heavy duty so it stays put wherever you put it down, just a shame it’s not really suitable for travel due to its weight and thickness – so you cannot wrap it around the ends of your straighteners, but this isn’t it’s intended purpose and it does make an excellent protector, I think you could leave your straighteners on all day and it would be fine (not sure your straighteners would be though).The mat is a very good size so that my wife can fit her whole straighteners, tongs and body, on them (measures 21cm x 32cm approx.). The change in colour due to heat (these go white) at first just seemed like a nice touch but actually it is a good way of warning others that see the straighteners that they are still hot due to the colour change.So a simple product, but very effective. Would highly recommend.

This is a simple mat. It is heatproof, well made and quite generous in size. And as it is made in silicone it prevents anything placed on top of it from sliding off.It is when you set anything hot in it that you see that it is not so simple. It is a pretty pink colour, but the moment it has something hot on it it changes into white. The whiter it is, the hotter.So if you lift the straighteners from its top, and it is still white, it is too hot to be stored. You can even wrap it up around them to add them protection when you're storing them.For the price asked I do not think you can get any better than this.Hope this helps.

Been looking for a heat mat for a while now but something that I could leave out on my dressing table. This is ideal. A great colour and fits in with my room.The item itself is ingenious. When you place your hot straighteners or other heated products on this mat the area they are placed on turns white! Fantastic. When the area turns pink again you know that they are cool enough to put away. A good size as well so no excuse for burning furniture any more!!Top quality item. Comes packaged in a neat box so would make a great gift for anyone who like me likes to mess with their hair!!!Highly recommended!!!!!!

This product does exactly as you would expect it to. I was impressed by how obvious the colour change was, as when the mat gets hot it turns from pink to white. This is useful as when it turns pink again I know that it is cool enough to wrap my straighteners up in. As well as this the colour is nice and bright and isn’t showing any signs of fading any time soon. The pink is quite girly and goes nicely with my GHD amethyst styler.This heat mat is also perfect for travelling as it is flexible enough to wrap around your straighteners without causing any damage to the heat mat, and it is spongy too so I like to think that it will offer some protection to my straighteners when they get thrown at the bottom of my suitcase!A problem I have found with the mat is that it does pick up dust and hairs. It’s really not a big downside, as the product in general is very good. Just if you are a bit of a clean freak, beware.

Following an accident with my hair straighteners when I left an undesired mark on a relative's piece of furniture, I decided to order a portable heat mat. And I'm so glad I did! This product is fantastic! It's not only useful for me when I use the straighteners but also for the people around me who can see the colour change on the mat when the appliance is still hot but not in use. It is very well made and it feels very sturdy but flexible. I have sewn a small carrier bag where I can take my heat mat rolled and my straighteners together! Super mega highly recommended!

Great heat mat which I use daily for my straighteners. Keeps them off my furniture and the colour change is a good idea just incase you forget to switch them off. Not too expensive either I’m sure it’ll last a long time.

This is my second one of these as so impressed with the first one. Perfect for straighteners or any heat generating tool that you use for hair styling. Colour of mat changes when a hot tool is placed on it, but gives perfect protection to your dressing table underneath. I have 2 on the go now, one for the hairdryer and 1 for the straighteners. Rolls up flat for storage, so perfect for popping in a drawer or travelling when we are allowed again. Would definitely recommend this product.

Nice little product. Seems good quality and allows me to plug in my straighteners on the bed while I'm using this. Also good to know see the colour change when they are heating up/cooling down
