Pioneer BDP-180-S 3D Blu-ray Player with 4K Upscaling and Integrated Wi-Fi - Silver

I had this player shipped to Canada ,as it is not available in North America for some reason. real shame... The player has 4K upscaling for Blu-Ray disc's and also 4K upscaling for Youtube streaming.. and wow the picture quality and detail is incredible, especially on Youtube. I'am not sure a dedicated 4K player would be an advantage over this player, as it is about as perfect as you can get !!! The American domestic model is BDP-80FD, which does not have 4K upscaling. I modifided the player myself with a region free kit I purchased from the U.K., Now I can play Blu-Ray disc's A ,B, C ,and DVD's from around the world. I chose the Silver finish to match my Sony reciever and my other components. Not many companys make Silver finish Blu-Ray players, I think they just look more classy. Black colour is so bland and looks cheap to me. The new Sony X800 and X1000ES players have no character and appear to be just black bricks. The only issues I have with the player is.. it is slow loading, and the remote control requires some finesse to make it work,as you have to point it directly at the player. Overall for the price I paid from Amazon.co.uk, it has turned out out as a very good asset to my video and sound system

Had to return as was not playing the first track on any disc. I purchased the Sony X700 which in my opinion is a dark superior player.
