Great fan. Almost noiseless in operation at the lower power levels. Perfect for the bedroom.
This is a great fan, backed up by really good customer service from the manufacturer. The highlight is the units ability to deliver a steady flow of cooling air almost noiselessly. If you remember the original Blue Thunder movie with Roy Schneider from when you were a kid, with the helicopters "whisper mode", this fan has that in spades. It's perfect in the bedroom, delivering whisper quiet air flow all night when the weather is warm. That's where the Blue Thunder analogy ends though, there is no chain gun, bullet proof armour or surveillance equipment. Just to manage expectations.Goes fast and loud as well, if you need it. Or even blowy but subdued and civilised.I've docked it a few points for the remote control which is infrared and can be a bit pernickety about whether it's going to work or not. It does work mostly though and it's better than getting out of bed in the middle of the night to fiddle with a fan in the dark.Timer works well and is easy to set.Mine developed a bit of a squeak when oscillating. Contacted the manufacturer who collected the fan, fixed it and sent it back. No fuss, no bother. Top marks for customer service.

A Quality Unit
A well built and super quiet fan, that is also very attractively styled. As others have commented, it's easy to assemble and simple to use with either the controls on the unit or remote. It's expensive, though I think well worth the outlay, considering the range of options and quality that it offers. When the unit arrived, the remote failed to work even after changing the battery - these things happen. I did not want to return the whole unit, so contacted EcoAir direct who could not have been more helpful. They rapidly sent us a replacement which has worked faultlessly. Excellent customer service that certainly earns them my recommendation.

A Well Designed, Quiet and Controllable Fan. Excellent!!
Over the years I have purchased a number of "cheap" pedestal fans for the office. All have them have been noisy and not easy to use.The EcoAir Zephyr Low Energy Fan is in a different class. It is well designed and built and a pleasure to use.It is as quiet to use as you want it to be. The motor is quiet and very controllable. It even has a natural mode, which I use all the time where the fan speed varies randomly over a range of slow speeds, making it feel just like a gentle, natural breeze. All the fan modes, speed and rotation can be controlled with the small, hand-held remote. If I need more fans, this will be at the top of my list.

It could be perfect
I do like this fan, it looks great visually, it's easy to install, the remote is slick with a ring-dial to control the speed, and it can go nearly silent when using the "Silent" mode (speeds from 1 to 9). The motor when in idle is perfectly silent (unlike the cheaper fans from Ansio which buzzes loudly like cheap power supplies), and the materials are of higher quality overall, with a very clear LCD display.Nevertheless, there are a few negative points that make the experience slightly disappointing, given the high price.First, when you turn on the fan, it won't remember its previous settings, and will reset itself to "Normal 10" speed mode, which is unnecessarily loud and strong for a regular British room. This default setting cannot be changed, so you'll probably have to constantly reduce the speed with the remote every time you turn the fan on. That's not efficient, and knowing the remote "ring" is on the flimsy side, it doesn't bode well. Much cheaper fans from Ansio do remember their settings! The "Natural" mode, which fluctuates to simulate wind, is extremely loud, and the average speed cannot be changed. More like "Storm" mode rather than "Natural"... Why aren't there more speeds available? I'd trade the superfluous 26 "Normal" speeds for a handful of "Natural" speeds. The "Sleep" mode (only 1 speed again) is louder than the default "Normal 10" speed mode, which doesn't make any sense at all. If you want to sleep, you'll probably want to set the fan in "Silent" mode instead (low speeds from 1 to 9), which defeats the purpose of the "Sleep" mode in the first place. The Normal 1 to ~4 speed modes keep on fluctuating the airflow, which is more annoying than a constant one. It becomes stable hopefully around "Normal 5", all the way to "Normal 26" hurricane mode...In the end, I mainly use the fan in Silent mode, because it's actually very quiet and still gives a good amount of air, "Silent 3" to "Silent 5" are a good compromise between noise and airflow. Sadly, the engineer who programmed the different modes really needs to go back to the drawing board and test that fan, because most of those settings don't make any sense, both in terms of speed and usability!

I wouldn't be without it - a serious piece of kit!
It took me a while to put together, I had to ask the community for help. And it took two screwdrivers and a cut to my hand to get the cover off the battery cover in the remote control. However this is a serious fan. It is huge and very sturdy and works well. I would love to buy another for my bedroom, so am saving up! Obviously there are cheaper fans out there, but this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for". The remote works well, all the dials are easy to use and it is 'fairly' quiet. It has certainly made the current heatwave easier to cope with.

Remote doesn't work
Hi the fan works well but the remote that was sent doesn't work. Is there any change you could send me another remote then I can give a better review?

Worth the money and will buy another, brilliant!!
Brilliant. I’m fanatical about fans as I’m always hot. This is the best fan I have ever purchased. Loads of programs, the remote control is ideal. The silent function is actually really quiet. Worth the money and will buy another for upstairs. It is very solid and is too heavy for me to move from one room to another or take upstairs. It is well built.
