Design quality not good enough.
I brought this to replace my sony RGC RT2SY desktop. Regrettably I had to return it as it was not as good as the elderly screen that was part of the Sony all-in-one. The colours were harsh and couldn't really match the warmth of the sony even by using the on-screen adjustments. The screen brightness was also unable to match my older screen. In addition, the feel of the plastic of the Asus screen was rather cheap. Another design flaw was the way that the screen goes bright blight when the signal from your PC switches off. This means that when your computer switches off you are left with a few seconds of unpleasant bright light. This is a small annoyance, particularly if your PC is in your bedroom. However, it is a design flaw that needn't be present. On the plus side, this is one of very few screens that have a decent number of USB ports - essential if you don't have a dock for your laptop if you are using this to connect a laptop to.

very very good at working with graphics not gaming
since the monitor has deep depth of image option, the pictures so great!, but it requires longer time to load all millions colors, so for fast phasing games it not fit at all, more over require a really top end graphic card to run it. DP port very fast, also has USB option and sound dynamics, which already broke, or i have to reinstall drivers ^^. Doesn't use pivot option, as it not that easy and the lanes make it difficult, sometimes it even trying to disconnect from the nest, o better not to do it often. the stand isn't that big so you can use only Z axis to pivot. so you have to incline back only then pivot vertically at it max stand. other wise its great product, never had such an amazing screen resolution. ISP help to watch longer, compared to my previous basic monitor, where after one hour i felt like the letter start blur and the eyes got bored.Thanx for reading, really recommend in working with graphics, or if you re watching for a long time on front of it :) enjoy

Lots of great features but poor quality control
I really wanted to like this monitor. It has so many great features for a web/digital/print designer. The Adobe RGB spectrum was delightful with a nearly a full spectrum I could work easily and confidently in Photoshop. The sRGB was also handy when I moved into web design work. This monitor also had a hdmi connection so I also used it to connect my PS3 up to it. Very handy! Now the bad news. The LED bleeding (IPS glow/uniformity) is terrible. Even during the day you could notice it on dark and medium to dark imagery. It was very distracting. From all corners of the monitor and especially from the bottom right corner. If this is supposed to be calibrated at the factory, someone must of been half asleep when they did my one.Well anyway, I had to return the monitor, with all the great features I couldn't stand the LED bleeding.

The picture quality of this monitor is superb. When first used the colours of my photos were so intense that they looked over saturated. I calibrated the monitor using a Spyder 5 Elite and the brightness was reduced from the default 50 to 32 giving a better reproduction of my photos. I have struggled in the past with other (expensive) monitors to get them calibrated correctly because the brightness level wouldn't go high enough. This monitor has plenty to spare. It also covers the range of the Adobe RGB gamut which many other monitors can't. The monitor also has lots of additional things it can do beside delivering a great image. When it comes to photo editing, previously on other monitors there was little difference between many of the RAW and JPG images from my Canon SLR. With this monitor you can see the subtle differences.I did have a problem when I attached the monitor initially to a Windows PC. The screen resolution was automatically set to 2560 x 1440 when the PC was booted. This produced lettering that was blurred and almost unreadable. I tried configuring the text with Windows without success and the only way I could improve it was to switch to standard HD resolution which made everything sharp but too big on this size monitor for normal desktop viewing distances. I then tried changing from using the DVI port to the DisplayPort and got a perfect picture. It would seem that DVI cannot handle the bandwidth of the 2560 x 1440 resolution. I don't know how the monitor would respond to fast moving images as I am not a gaming person, but for me it was a very good buy. The only thing I would change is the ability to access the menu when the monitor is not receiving a video signal. The only thing you can change is the input, the menu and other buttons don't work until the monitor receives a video signal.

Good monitor, hopeless support
The monitor itself appears to work fine. There is only a simple sheets of instructions and a CD with a very basic manual. No drivers, no set-up during installation, Windows 8.1 doesn't recognise the model and thinks it is a simple PnP monitor. I queried this with Asus support - the website provides nothing other than a download of the useless manual - and it took many emails before they even understood the problem. They were unable to help, but did at least tell me where to send a formal complaint. Last time I ever buy Asus.

I also love having the option to swivel the monitor to portrait ...
Owned one of these since January 2016. I use this for photo editing. not getting the full benefit of its colour space as my pc does not have the displayport connection. I get a slight wobble/lag effect(not sure what the technical term is) when dragging an image up and down quickly. Not sure if this is down to monitor or pc. I also love having the option to swivel the monitor to portrait mode when I'm viewing some images.
