Omega J8226 Multi-Functional Plastic Blender

I bought this to replace the Philips juicer which started smoking and making a grinding noise...Pros:- very solid machine, looks high quality with a long warranty- makes almost no noise and is smooth no matter what you put in it- Philips uses centrifugal force to push items through a metal mesh (damaging the minerals and vitamins) and the juice doesn't keep - the Omega on the other hand uses a 'worm' or drill type mechanism that uses the fibre to squeeze the items. The juice looks richer, deeper in colour, hence more appetizing, compared to the Philips juice which has been aerated during the process and always has a froth- with different fittings you can make more things with the Omega: peanut butter, almond butter, pasta, and you can also grind coffee, mince meet etc.Cons:- you have to cut up the items to about 1.5 inches wide in order to fit into the feeder which takes much longer (so I make a lot more juice in one go, and because it keeps up to about 3 days, I store it in the fridge). So you can make juices the night before and take them to work without worrying that the health benefits diminish with time.Cleaning is about the same amount of effort, with the Omega taking perhaps a little longer. I swill them with water and put in the dishwasher, or wash by had with a little dish soap and leave to dry.I created a spreadsheet of the different juices: ingredients on the left column, recipe names across the top, and filled it out. Then add up the amount of each ingredient row by row and order it. Works a treat, and when making the juices you don't have to look at a recipe in a book or on the internet, the spreadsheet shows you the list of ingredients. You can also look in the fridge find an ingredient and look it up on the spreadsheet to see what juices you can make. Much easier.I'd recommend this over the Philips, but noting that it doesn't take longer to make the juice. I find I like making the juice with the Omega as it is less aggressive and less noisy.

I purchased this product about four weeks ago and have had time to use it and comment on the product.I have used the product every morning since I purchased it and I love it. It is built well - feels solid and looks neat! For me, this product is easy to put together, easy to use, easy to take apart and easy to clean (as long as you clean immediately after using). It comes with a cleaning brush which is great for cleaning some of the more fiddly areas. I can clean this in a matter of minutes. The manual is fairly basic but still clearly tells you what you can and cannot do. The product accepts anything I chuck at it - it does feel like a heavy duty guy. You do have to chop your veg into small pieces to fit into the chute. You can easily tell the difference between this and other juicers. With cheap juicers, the fibre is extracted along with a lot of juice. With this baby, the fibre is really dry ensuring that you get to drink all the elixir! There are some vegetables which are more difficult to get this effect e.g. spinach but that is to be expected. Overall, a GREAT product; I highly recommend.Ref the purchase process, I did have a small issue but I am not sure if this was a technical issue from the Amazon side of things. The seller is based in Germany, so when I tried to track my parcel, it was not recognised as the system was trying to send me to a .co.uk courier website and the AWB could only be found on a .de courier website. When approaching the seller, they were very helpful and I have to say that the product arrived in tip top condition very fast!

Used this product for a few months before putting up a review.....yes it’s expensive but it’s worth it. Make room in your kitchen beside your fruit bowl as it’s a daily part of my life now. Very easy to clean and the juice I’m getting is unreal, very quiet so I can use in the morning, looking for a good quality juicer then look no further

Use this every other day or so. I did a lot of research before purchasing this juicer And it has not disappointed. If you are serious about wanting to extract as much nutrients from fruit and veg, this is a great piece of kit. Wee bit pricey but worth it, not flashy or overstated.

Based on the reviews, I had the impression that (even though it’s a masticating juicer) the juice would be extracted more quickly. I got this as a present for someone with cancer and I wanted to demonstrate all that it could do with the most potent cancer-fighting fruits and vegetables (carrot, celery, ginger, green apple, beetroot, turmeric). Unfortunately, the yield was so little and the machine so slow, that I knew my friend would never sit there for the length of time needed to produce the liter+ that is needed for this protocol to have any cancer-fighting effect. I used it once, was very disappointed, told the seller I wanted to return it, and they refused. Not sure what to do next.

Very powerful juicer even makes almond milk. Pulp is nice and dry and juice clear. Much easier to clean than either of its predecessors. Really enjoying juicing again. Minor drawback is that you need to chop a bit smaller than others but the bits then self slide off the hopper into the crusher. Worth paying the extra and it has a ten year guarantee. Now thinner and healthier! Delighted on all levels!

Used this product for juicing fruits and vegetables. I’ve purchased juicers before for the same purpose but they are collecting dust in my cupboard as they are so cumbersome to clean. My son and I purchased the Omega juicer for my brother who was caring for his wife who had been diagnosed with cancer. He calls it the “Rolls Royce” of juicers. It’s extremely easy to use and cleaning is a breeze. There is very little remaining from the produce one the juice has been extracted so you are definitely getting the full quota from whatever is going through the mechanisms. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely be purchasing one of these for my own kitchen counter.
