Daler-Rowney Graduate Acrylic Gesso, Plastic Pot, 33.81oz - 1L, White Gesso Primer

This is a very big tub of gesso and it will last me a long time. Very good value for money, great spread and a brush included which will remain my gesso brush. The coverage is smooth and glides on easily. The drying time is great although I did use a hairdryer to speed it up as I was art jouornaling like a fiend that day. If anything the lid is a little too long and flimsey for the size of the tub and the volume packed into it. Otherwise I really like it and when it runs out will probably buy it again.

I'm really pleased with this product, it gives great coverage to canvases, can be mixed with other paints to good effect and it great for adding texture. My only criticism is that it comes in a rather large tub, but it's okay really as it can be easily transferred to a smaller vessel. I used an old deli tub. All in all a good product and great value for money,

Many people buy separate ingredients to mix their own Gesso, but for the price of this ready mixed 1 litre tub, it saves time and all the mess. Ready mixed Gesso isn't cheap especially if bought in small quantities. But this tub is reasonably priced without having to buy larger quantities at any one time. It spreads easily and leaves a nice finish when dry, to lightly sand between coats. Would I buy this product again? Answer:Yes most definitely when I need more. It will keep for at least twelve months or maybe longer by making sure the lid is kept tight..

Although first delivery contained a broken and spilt item, the excellent customer service meant that I received the replacement very quickly indeed and in perfect condition.The Gesso is just what I was looking for and I will be priming and prepping several painting boards in order to continue with a mini-marathon series of painting sessions over the next few weeks!

I've never used primer before but used this for my first attempts at homemade canvases, really happy with the result. Good even coverage, dries quite fast.. I used 3 coats before painting and it made a good base, the colours were vibrant on top.
