I ordered 3 of these hangers.1 was jamming when I received them but after operating the mechanism quite a few times, it started to work and now seems ok (This is the only reason i gave 4 instead of 5 stars).This was quite possibly due to the mechanism being disloged in transit so I dont blame the manufacturers for it.Other than that I am well pleased with the hangers and seem more than strong enough to hold any of my guitars.Of course they need to be fixed securely to a solid type of wall to be fully secure, when fixed onto a cavity wall they may take less weight.But this is something that the user needs to sort out, again you cant blame the manufacture or the sellers if you dont fix them properly.Buy and Enjoy.

This is great wall hanger, it holds my electro- acoustic guitar quite nicely. The guitar itself hangs quite far out from the wall, as my guitar has a slimmer body than your average guitar. I occasionally accidentally bump it into the wall which gives it little dinks in the wood, but obviously not the hangers fault xD The only thing which concerns me is that you have to put your guitar really near the edge of it for the automatic locks to actually hold it in. If you put it right to the back they don't really close but makes me feel its more secure because its not so near the edge.Overall brilliant hanger.would buy/ recommendMia

The product comes in two (2) pieces: holder and wall mount, and the holder fits over the wall mount and is secured with a set screw. The locking mechanism works as described. The screws that came with the wall mount were long enough to go through drywall and into the stud for a fairly secure mount. But I was disappointed that the joint between the guitar holder wall mount is loose even with the set screw holding the two pieces together. It seems adequate for holding an acoustic guitar, but more questionable for holding a solid-body (heavier) electric bass or guitar (my intended use). If that joint were more secure I would have rated it five stars.

Other than having to drill into brick which is my own problem not the products, the installation couldn't have been easy. The package came with the adapters for brick installation. Once up you secure the actual holder into the wall mount by a small screw which I managed to drop about 15 during the process of installing just 3 of them (which again, is my own stupid fault). Once up they feel very sturdy and look absolutely fantastic. The packaging is also very impressive, which I thought was quite funny because it's somewhat unnecessary but it's a nice addition for the extra hit of first impression.Spot on.

I have already used non locking ones and they strain a bit under the weight of a Les Paul, so i was hopeful of these and they didn't disappoint. So anyone deliberating. Yes they are sturdy, yes they take the weight of a heavy model guitar, yes the locking mechanism works well. And yes they're actually around the same cost as non-locking models. Result. Oh - Use your own wall fixings - supplied ones are never that great.

So Ive just bought a new Squire Strat and thought this would allow me to hang it from a wall. Unfortunately the Strat dose not sit well in this hanger so I'll have to get a different version. Saying that this is of good quality and my Les Paul hangs securely in it.

Bought this as an additional bracket. It is plastic but holds the guitar in place. Lift the guitar slightly to take the weight off the bracket and the sides retract making it easier to get the guitar down. Wish I'd got these for the other guitars.

Perfect for displaying your guitar on a wall. The assembly of the product is quite simple however note that holes will need to be drilled into the wall in order for the mount to fixed properly.
