EASY AND EFFECTIVE
I've been buying these and the hanging version for wardrobe rails for many years, since several neighbours reported serious moth attacks, and (touch wood) have never had a problem. To the reviewers who gave them a low rating, especially the person who just threw a fistful at serious moth damage under a bed, I'd suggest that if you already have an infestation it's important to vacuum the affected areas really thoroughly before using the product (the edges of fitted carpets in particular are notoriously appealing to egg-laying moths) and to shake/brush/air clothing in drawers and wardrobes. It's also important to try never to store unwashed clothing, especially wool or cashmere - wash or dry clean garments before putting them away for the summer. I find these balls do last for several months. When I notice one has faded to white I usually replace them in all drawers and cupboards at the same time rather than having to keep checking. Finally the fragrance is very light - a million miles from the old moth-ball smell - and doesn't cling to clothes.

Cheap and cheerful - does the job well
We had a real problem with tiny moths in our rented flat last year so I went on the hunt for some deterrants. This product seemed to do the job (though it is hard to measure as they're so small you only really notice when there are holes in your clothes.I actually liked the fact that they 'go off' after some time as you are then reminded to get some more out. They change from the bright orange colour to a pale/whitish shade so very obvious once they stop working.I put some in draws, coat pockets and in the wardrobe. My only wish would be that the sachets the balls stay in could have a little hole so you could hook them on hangers, as I had to balance mine or leave them on the wardrobe floor.Scent was not my favourite aspect but it was inoffensive. For the price, you can't really go wrong.

Overall happy with the product but be careful with white/pale fabrics and staining.
After hearing about moth invasions this summer I was keen to protect my clothes! These are neat and discrete. The aroma is reasonably pleasant (nothing like the mothballs of old!) and the smell has already lasted for 3-months.I used two balls in each large IKEA storage box and two per deep shelf in my wardrobe. The balls come covered in strips of plastic that are perforated ready to separate. Just be careful when separating to ensure the plastic doesn't rip.One of the drawbacks for me were all the warning and hazard signs on the packet, particularly for aquatic creatures. I'm unsure if this is true of all anti-moth products but I was worried about safe disposal of them afterwards. Also the balls are quite wet, even when covered in plastic and I think this may have left faint yellow stains on some white bedding. As a result, I was just careful not to place them anywhere near my pale summer clothing. No moths 6-months on and overall I'm happy with the product and would buy again.

It works to a point
It works to a point. The balls smell nice, and they have the helpful hint of turning to white when they've run out of their power. I used it to keep moths away, but to be honest with you, I prefer the dodgy camphor balls. Sorry!

Easy and effective moth treatment
Easy, effective moth treatment. I like that the individually wrapped balls can be cut from a strip so you can spread them around drawers and cupboards. I slip mine onto trouser hangers in my wardrobes. They certainly last through the summer and I don't believe I have a problem in winter so I tend to replace once a year. They gradually change colour so it's easy to see when they need replacing. They don't smell overwhelming like some treatments I've used - there is a smell but it goes quite quickly.

Brilliant!
Would always recommend these! I put on my windowsills in each room where there are clothes and fabrics and they last for ages. The colour change lets you know when they arw not longer active, which is helpful too.Well worth the money every time!

Not sent in the appropriate box.
Unfortunately this company didn't send these moth balls in a box like the other companies I've had them from do. The boxes give an expiry date on them which is useful. Otherwise, I like these lavender smelling moth balls as they always seem to keep the moths at bay.
