and having enjoyed a much cheaper set the previous year
After extensive research on the subject of true wireless earphones, and having enjoyed a much cheaper set the previous year, I concluded that the Erato Apollo 7 would be the most reliable and highest quality bluetooth earphone experience currently available in 2017. And after a couple months of use I agree they really are absolutely the best earphones I've ever owned, well worth the price.Audio has superb range, bluetooth connectivity is painless once you get the hang of it - I turn the earbuds on suequentially rather than concurrently, and consistanly hear the wonderful "headset connected" notification within a few seconds. It can be a bit difficult if attempting to pair in a crowded area with many other automaticly pairing devices, but the connectivity range is reasonable that you can step out into a more isolated area to do so.I've not actually been much concerned with battery life, as I use them for short durations, twice each day on my cycle to and from work. In longer duration tests they have survived adequately long enough that I am not disappointed, considering their size and the novel nature of the technology. The charging case is well designed and easy to use, but can be fiddly to insert the phones with the stabiliser bits attached - though not inconveniently so, you just fold them out of the way to close the device. The kit came with several sizes of silicone tips as well as a few foam tips which expand to fit snugly in the ear. These have been great at reducing slip and raising comfort. The only disappointment I have is the sound of the wind hitting the not-so-aerodynamic body of the phones while I cycle, which can drown out the audio. Wearing some ear muffs or a hat should solve this though during winter. It's just a shame that the Apollo 7S model is not currently available, as I would have certainly paid extra for the supposedly superior 3D sound.

Almost there but the video delay is making me thing twice....
I am starting with 3 stars because i am still not sure if i am going to keep them. I cant deny that as a traveller, this products gives me a level of freedom that wires dont, the sound is obviously not comparable with my wired Shure se530 but through an iphone the Shures can only be as good as they can with low res music. The sound of these wireless buds is very good - I cant deny this, i dont listen to thumping base so the sound suits my own personal tastes well. The battery lasts throughout most European flights and the charging case is an excellent idea. Where is loses stars is the video bit. I dont want to have to carry one set of headphines for Music and one for Video. I've fiddled with plex and with amazon prime settings so that with low res video its acceptable but there is still that delay. I am sorry but at nearly £300 i want a single solution for my on-the-road media. I will likely increase to 4 stars if i can internally justify the issue with the video sound delay but having delved a little into their technical support, i've found that they are blaming the manufacturer of the devices for this delay but my B&W P7 bluetooth headphones cope OK?

Superb!!
Like a few people here, i first ordered the Earin wireless earbuds, as they looked good and the sound quality promisedseemed to be worth the cash. However within three hours of receiving my order, i sent them right back to Amazon. They sounded great, that cannot be denied, but all that counts for nothing if your listening experience is compromisedthrough bad Bluetooth connectivity. Very disappointed.I made a mistake in purchasing the Earin earbuds, but on reflection it has led me to purchase theses Erato Apollo 7 earbudswhich i have to say exceeded my expectations. Sound quality is just as good as the Earin, plus they have the smart controls weall expect from modern mobile earphones. A single button on each bud does the trick of playing the next/previous track, and these buds alsohave a microphone for taking/making calls. A standard needed as primarily my device is a phone, believe it or not!As i read before my purchase, the bluetooth connectivity with the Apollo earbuds, is everything the Earins are not. The range is amazing, and i have had no drop outs since buying these four days ago. I don’t need to swap pockets or situate the phone near the buds, for the connection to remain stable, they just works. Pairing is also a doddle, another thing i had difficulty with using the Earin buds.In short i swapped a dumb set of earbuds, for a smart set of earbuds for an extra £70.00, which IS money well spent, so long as you can afford it.I need my music quality to be stable every day, as i travel a lot on the trains. These buds work all the way for me, in sound/functionality.Good job!

Fantastic
I've tried the similar Earin headphones (which I later returned due to them cutting out) and I have to say, where it counts (i.e. connection and sound quality) these beat them hands down. They have an on / off button too which is better than the auto on / off method by Earin. To give you an idea of the connection quality, I left my phone in a locker in my gym and proceeded to do an entire workout without the phone in my pocket (the lockers are in the centre of the room, still... superb experience). Must be at least a 10m range even out of line of sight.Pros:- Great sound quality- Near flawless connection to device even at range.- On / Off control works wellCons:- They flash blue or red / blue all the time! I look like I have antennas sticking out of my ears as it is without them flashing...- Sold as 'lightweight' they feel a little too light to me- I preferred the inline charging case on the Earins... it's a small thing, but it fit in my pocket better.
