Well made, feels sturdy / safe when used. Stand-off enabled me to clean the soffits and gutters myself.

Seems very sturdy and works fineAluminium section material looks very substantial and bends and ? Welds all look fine - no hair line cracks or odd-looking surfaces.I looked carefully as a previous reviewer posted a scathing review, saying the offset failed, he fell and got badly injured. I am on anti-coagulants and do not want a fatal bang n the head although I always wear a hard hat when doing anything a bit risky.If I am wrong about this product I would be amazed . I have 2 of the flat type offsets which are fine and quality of all three looks identical

Excellent, stable, compact, lightweight, and essential in my opinion to fit to any ladder to improve stability and confidence, plus make it easier to access gutters and eaves. Good quality but rather thin aluminium construction and at a good price delivered very quickly. I would have liked the offset distance to be at least 100mm more and for the central V to be rubber lined as the flat sections are.

I used the standoff to replace a section of guttering at the top of my house which was leaking. I had previously done a temporary repair in the past but it was awkward because I was right up against the gutter and had little room to work. It was the best I could do at the time. At first I thought about hiring scaffolding but the cost was prohibitive. A standoff was recommended to me by a neighbour and he offered to lend me one but I decided to purchase one as the price was reasonable and I could do the work at my own convenience. Assembly was straightforward after watching a Utube video from the same company. When I attached this to the ladder I was able to position the ladder so that I was directly above the gutter. It made the work much easier and gave the ladder so much stability (note that I did properly secure the bottom of the ladder) I felt safe enough to use both hands to detach the old section of gutter, which was too short, with a new section of gutter of the correct length with new rubber seals. I was also able to put a new bracket near the top of the downpipe to give the downpipe extra stability during heavy winds. So it made an awkward job and potentially dangerous one into an easier, safer task as well as saving me money. If you have not got one and use a ladder from time to time, as I do, then it is a good buy at a competitive price.

One of my best buy. It makes an enormous difference when working at the top of a long ladder. It will allow the user to go to the top of the ladder without being in that unsafe position very close to the wall; This attachment is also a good place to rest a bucket on top; again making it safer to work; and the triangle bit will allow to rest the ladder on a corner (although I haven't tried that yet).It made my day when I first used it! And it is also very simple and effective to attach (like 10 seconds).The only small not so positive point is that the hooks that go on the rungs of the ladder are not the same space as a standard ladder so the bottom 2 hooks don't quite make it all the way down to the rung. It still works very well and can also be easily adjusted by drilling 2 holes to bring them further down.

Very light and easy to put together. The standoff is solid but light when installed on the ladder and has made a huge difference to stability when cleaning the gutters. Also because it keeps you further away from the wall when at height you feel more confident as you are not leaning back so much to reach in the gutters. It fits nicely around the downpipe with the 'V' shape at the back allowing you to get closer to a downpipe etc. Overall this is a really great product and wish I had bought one many years ago.

This is a great piece of kit, particularly for safely bridging downpipes. It will also locate safely on corners but I would have preferred the anti-slip rubber to continue onto those angled facings. The locking hook is not as wide as the rungs on my ladder and would look safer if it was but I managed to spread the hook wider apart so that it stays secure. It would also be easy enough to tie something around the hook once it is in position to make absolutely sure that it would not come off. Overall, a great piece of kit.

Getting to 70 means I needed a lighter ladder stand-off than the steel one I already have. I bought this because the product weight was given as 499g (also quoted on best ladder stand-off sites). I weighed this on delivery to find that it actually weighs 1.7kg. I'm not happy.The item itself is first class and very well made - shame about the misinformation.
