Q: Do these have auto shut off?

Not that i am aware of , but they have a temp control , which turns it off and on

Q: Do you reccomend it for long hair?

I recvomend it for long hair, as it is really easy to use and with a bit of hair spray your curls will hold one entire day.

I've used this wand many times and always get lovely waves, they usually last a couple of days too. Don't have the wand in the full heat when styling and once your hair has cooled run your fingers though it. I have long, fine hair but a lot of it and I can usually do the whole lot in under 30 minutes.
