Fab, easy to use & clean soup machine :-) xx
I purchased this soup maker to replace my previous Morphy Richards 'Saute & Soup' soup maker (which worked perfectly for 18 months until I dropped it & cracked the lid 😳).I decided on this model over the 'Saute & Soup' model as I hardly ever used the Saute facility & I am trying to steer away from non-stick coatings in my cookware. This model has a stainless steel interior (so no worries about chemicals leaching into the food). So far I haven't had any issues at all with food sticking or burning, infact I'd say it's easier to clean than the previous model. If you've never owned a soup maker before, they are super easy to use. Simply chop your veg and add to the 'kettle' along with some stock & boiling water. The controls are easy to use, just select smooth or chunky & the machine does the rest!!My boys (aged 3 &5) love helping to make soups... I chop the veggies, they pop them in the kettle & press the buttons - I believe that involving them with the preparation & cooking of healthy foods is a great way of educating them & getting them excited about eating something they've made!!I never follow recipes, I just grab whatever is in the fridge & it always ends up delicious! One of our favourite combinations is carrots, onion, tomatoes, sweet potato, celery & fresh basil.I use my soup maker every day - my husband takes a flask of soup to work, the boys have soup either as a meal with home made bread or as a sauce/gravy poured over veggies & pasta. It's a great, flavourful way of getting extra healthy veggies in our food!!I wouldn't want to be without my soup maker & would highly recommend this model to anyone.

So easy to use - great asset in the kitchen
My wife's review:I compared the features of the others in the range of soup makers and chose this one. I was not disappointed. It is so easy to use . The only draw back I have found is the minimum amount of contents required. This makes 4 - 6 servings of soup so there is often left over soup and limited space in the fridge or freezer if just the two of us are eating. The first attempt at using the soup maker was the recipe for banana and chocolate smoothy. A sort of disaster as I didn't have enough ingrediants to fill to minimum content level so used substitutes. End result tasted O.K. But we got somewhat fed up eating/drinking up the product! I have tried making leek & potato, country vegetable, chicken & mediterranean vegetable soups but the best so far with no leftovers have been pea and ham soup and cream of mushroom. Delicious - nothing like the dry packet versions. Other soup recipes can be adapted easily for the soup maker providing the minimum contents level is reached. Several supermarkets sell already prepared vegetable for soups. I tried a pack tonight but I prefer to prepare my own ingredients. It is great that I can add other ingredients during the cooking process. The top is heavy so a plate is needed to catch the drips.Cleaning is easy. Sometimes I need to use a little diluted lemon juice and non stock pad to clean the bottom inside. Even though I do add some stock first before adding other ingredients, there may be discolouration at the bottom or some food particles stuck. I have not found this a problem only an observation.

This thing is magic.
I was a little dubious of buying a soup maker- is that just really lazy and an unnecessary kitchen gadget? But finding myself working at home most of the week I wanted healthy and tasty lunches without needing to stand over it in the kitchen.I was also dubious about the claim it makes smooth soup in 21 minutes. Yeah right, bet its cold and full of lumps. But I loaded it up- just throw in chopped veg, a stock cube and water and set it off.I have to say the noises it made were a little alarming- I kept running back into the kitchen to check it wasn't boiling over! But no need to, it makes noises so just ignore them. At 21 minutes I opened it up and was amazed to find hot, smooth and delicious soup. I swear this machine is actually posessing of black magic. One batch made about 4 portions so its plenty big enough, and you don't have to fill it to the max.The soup is hot and delicious, its super easy to use and took 30 seconds to clean afterwards. No stuck on food like another review said. Such a difference to standing over a pan for an hour and then having to get out the hand blender. Probably the best kitchen gadget ever? How have I lived this long without it!
