Well made, do a great job, at a great price.
Saw these recommended on an AV forum, and when HiFi geeks recommend something, they're usually not wrong. You get plenty in the box, and they are surprisingly heavy and well constructed. Quite easy to connect to 2.5mm2 cable, although you might struggle with wider cables like 4mm2 as the entry is quite small. Once connected up they plug into the usual speaker or amp connection solidly and securely. I like that they have a reasonably clear red and black colour band that can be seen from above, to identify positive and negative cables easily.I could say that they deliver a clear, precise, and tight sound to the speaker but, at best, that is just my own ears telling me well done for my purchase. Obviously, there are much more expensive banana plugs out there, made of gold plated unicorn horn, and if that floats your boat, go for it. But these are great value, well made connectors that just get on with the job and don't get in the way of the signal pathway. Recommended.

Good banana plugs with a unique design
I recently replaced my old 5.1 setup with an Atmos receiver and speakers that have proper speaker post terminals instead of cheap clip-type connections. This meant I needed twice as many banana plugs as I had and I decided to replace the lot in one go.The Basics plugs stood out as being reasonably priced and appearing better built than the 'Nakamichi type' plugs which rely on tiny screws to hold the cable in and clearly all come from the same Chinese factory with different labels.I was somewhat concerned about the 'crimp type' connection method on the Basics plugs as on paper it looks rather rudimentary but had no reason for worry. The connection is rock solid, has no chance of coming loose and the plugs look and feel great too - they are really heavy and beautifully engineered. They work equally well with thin and thick speaker cables.Honestly, unless you squint and read the tiny colour labels you would never guess these are 'Basics' plugs as they look and feel totally premium, I don't entirely understand Amazon's branding decision on these in honesty. Same applies for the HDMI 2.1 leads I picked up - exceptional quality and they actually meet the relevant standards reliably. As do the subwoofer cables. And two massive boxes of batteries. And some coathangers.I guess I'm a 'Basic' person now!

Great item & price
Great item, can't argue for the price. Does accept12gauge wire. Inlet /orifice will accept wire with an OD of 5mm. Does fit the Denon AVR. Can't confirm exact material but can confirm it is of non-ferrous metal/s.

Simplifies Hi-Fi setup greatly
Very straight forward setup, makes it much easier to move speakers and saves the cable falling apart when organising wiring with repeatedly undoing the copper cable. Bit pricey for Amazon Basics kit but does the job just as well as popular brands, so good value.

Great little banana plugs
Well made banana plugs that are strong with a firm grip. Easy to setup by feeding the cable from the back, spreading the wires, then screwing down to clamp. I'm using fairly thick wires (think they are 8awg) and it's tight but they go through fine. The splines are wide enough to get good purchase when plugged into the binding posts. Would happily use these exclusively.

Good value but fundamentally flawed
Three stars because of the price, meaning they are good value. However, as others have said, the compression spring part on the end is not in constant contact with the rest of the plug (it spins around). The idea might be that once compressed it makes good contact, however my testing showed that it doesn't always. This is a fundamental flaw with otherwise well made plugs for the money. The primary purpose of plugs is to make a good connection and unfortunately the design here doesn't guarantee that.

Easy to connect to speaker and amplifier
Perfectly made to make speaker connections easier. I have been looking for soething like this for a while and these do mot disappoint. Easy to attach the cable and easy to install in amplifier and rear of speakers.
