Id never heard of this camera before i brought one, i have now !
I've had my Cube+ for about a week now and feel ready to give you my impressions , after having just read the other reviews ,i agree with what they are saying , so i'l just ad my thoughts.1. The price ,compared with the GoPro , is the obvious difference and a big plus.2. Its smaller than a GoPro ,and very cute ,and very unobtrusive , which leads too people not going into '' im having my photo taken'' face , giving a very natural look to picture and video.3. Only 2 buttons and 1 LED. Hold the big button down for 3 seconds and you turn the camera on ,accompanied with 3 beeps and a flashing green LED , its ready to go. Press the button once more and you take a photo ,red led flash and a beep . Press the button x2 and you shooting video . 2 beeps and a flashing red LED , press once more to stop recording ,beep and back too green LED .The second button is for wi fi connection too a mobile or tablet. So very simple too use , but a bit awkward when i was using it in a loud environment. it was very hard to hear the beeps ,though the volume can be changed , mine seams to like being factory setting only not sure why that is and i don't like the 3 second turn on time much ,meaning you really have to have it switched on before something happens otherwise its 3 sec button hold then x2 button tap to get to vid , leading too missed things and some photos of myself/hands ect. You can control the camera via wi-fi but that dose eat up the battery life like a greedy boy who's just come out of hospital and hasn't been allowed to eat because of a operation .4. Im a life long user of photographic cameras ,film and digital ,so i like the punch this tiny little camera has .HD video and 8 mp photos. Also i like the idea of the very old fashioned way of shooting .ie blind , point the cube at the subject and hope you have it , nice.5.The best results ive got are from using the magnetic base mount for stability ,but be careful to you turn the camera on after you've placed it and not the other way round or you'll get video upside down or through 90 degrees . The camera detects what plane its in then decides whats up and whats down but if you move the camera from its original orientation it will remain with the same orientation it started with when you turned it on .6. The sound , frankly is rubbish , compare it with any mobile device and its like placing a hanky over the mic and wondering why it sounds a bit muffled .7. The most odd thing ive found with it is , it comes partly charged with a 8GB micro SD card , good to be able to use when you get it, you place the card in upside down , Goldie contacts facing up , and plug into the USB too charge , where it starts to flash orange , a bit unnerving when there are no instructions as yet telling you thats whats happens. Even more strange is when i discovered that although id been uploading photos/ video as id shot them ,by day 2 the LED started to flash orange when i turned it on =//, what did that mean ? It turns out that you have to reformat the SD card when it gets full up , bit odd as there was nothing on it, ive never come across this before with any of my other digital cameras but thats what you have to do , Mac or PC ,you will find some kind person will have posted it on Youtube or on a forum on the web ,it turns out its very easy to do and takes seconds , but i haven't seen this mentioned anywhere in the info in box or the online help guide , so you do now.If your looking for a cheep robust camera for taking around with you , i think this is very good even though the lens is fixed and its all about taking the camera too the subject not the other way round , you want a close up ? get close up then ! the 128 degree wide angle lens is ether a blessing or a curse depending on your preference , best focal length is about 1m for close ups and a max of about 5m depending on available light , things become background after that . Another nice feature ive found is that although is says you can capture stills and trim video , i tried this on a tablet , id shot something on its 1440 HD setting and it couldn't handle it , maybe just a slightly old bit of technology problem , but i then tried to do the same thing on a Mac and bingo! Quicktime player too the rescue , trim video clips front and back ,no problem , want stills from your video ? ok just stop the playback on the shot you want , press cmd ,shift and 4 , crop the image with the window , snapshot sent too your desktop .nice one!

Broke after the third use, total time used about an hour.
When I fight got the cube it was easy enough to get use to the functions seeing as it had no screen. The camera quality was good when recording footage but the pictures when taking a photo were not great and it was what I expected because I did a lot of research. However since I have had it I have used it three times, on the first occasion the camera recoded but then after around 15 minutes of clips it said storage was low I found it easy to use the fuctions, the second time I used it the slot for the micro SD had an issue and the memory card I bought is now stuck in there (I purchased a 128gb one rather than the 8gb that comes as standard). The third time I went to use it was on holiday, we arrived at a water park and was ready to use the camera along with the accessories I bought to go with it and it then froze and I had to let the battery run flat. Now charging is patchy at best and so the camera isn't really useable. I bought it through Amazon warehouse and hoped I had got a bargain but in fact I have wasted £55 and I wish I had just got the go pro hero instead.

Good value and performance for such a small device
I use this as a dash cam. The magnetic base attaches to the metal grill air vent below the car windscreen. However, that won't work with cars which have plastic vents. Has a wide field of view and clear video images which is great for such a small cube. It's light and easy to carry around. Operation can be a bit fiddly. Pressing the main button as stated in the instruction card to activate a particular function does not always work first time. It is only video recording if the red light on top of the cube is flashing but you won't see that if the rubber cover supplied is fitted. Wifi link to phone works fine but set up took a few attempts, partly due to a software upgrade which had to be loaded first. It is though a good value product for the price and you soon get used to operation of the functions.

Great portable device but average audio
I love the new cube. Certainly worth getting the plus version. Having built in WIFI hotspot and Phone app allows you to check the positioning of the device via your phone when setting up. It also allows on the fly settings changes such as "Continuous Mode", "720/1080/1440" video modes, plus ability to play back footage directly to phone.I've been using the phone as a dashcam which is working very well. I purchased through Amazon a box of different mounts for around £25. Inc Waterproof casing and numerous fittings that are gopro compatible. (The water proof case featured a gopro fitting underneath)I mounted a stick on hinge fitting on my car dashboard, but superglued a small metal plate to the top to allow the magnetic cube fixing to be used. (Means I dont need the waterproof case when inside the car) It holds very well. The cube records well as a powered dashcam using continuous mode at 720p. It creates a new file every 5 mins at 330mb size. Continuous mode will wipe older files when the SD card is full. When I leave the car I just place the cube in my pocket. Also, the cube works continuously when connected via USB lead to the car power outlet. No issues being powered while recording so great for long journeys. Also, its fully charged when you arrive.Stabilisation seems good on my motorbike and mountain bike. The battery is currently lasting around 1.5hrs. (May need to test more to get accurate figures)My main criticism is the audio playback. It can sound either faint or very scratchy at times. Sound is the devices main weakness.

Decent but suffers on usability.
Records good footage and battery decent enough; however, usability is not great. Beeps when you turn it on, but difficult to hear over traffic. Result is that I’ve missed recordings. App is poor (too slow and fiddly to be of regular use). Good feature is the ability to set it to overwrite old footage when the memory card is full (i.e. no need to delete/format) - inexplicably, this is often not a feature on commuter cameras.

Excelente Producto
Muy práctica y útil, súper resistente y graba a mi gusto muy bien, no es quizá la mejor cámara pero por el precio, para mí; lo vale

$50? Yeah!! But.....
Good quality! No complains in general, however, it tend to generate weird sounds (white noise) if you use this in an enclosed case, say a waterproof case for swimming or skiing, maybe it’s the problem of the case I bought, it seems to amp up the noise, if it is something you concern about, better test it out first once you got the camera so you can decide wheather to rerun it or no

Great little camera, can take a serious tumble. Supports Facebook Live
Review for the Red Polaroid Cube+ 1440p Mini Lifestyle Action Camera with Wi-Fi & Image Stabilization. I love this thing. We strapped it to a drone and had some serious tumbles, but the camera still works just fine. This thing literally fell off my drone when I crashed into a tree, smashed onto the road, and rolled half a block. It was still recording when we found it. Not a scratch. This also works great for live streams on Facebook (I am not sure why there is a more expensive version that claims to only have this functionality). The Facebook Live video was even hilarious, as my ego was completely shattered by those with more aviation skills than myself. The video quality is crisp and clear. I love the wide angle.Yes, our phones have replaced a lot of functions over the years, but this certainly has a place next to your phone. The iPhone app works like crap on iPhone X.. .so hopefully they update it. The application is also very counter intuitive, and it took me a long time to even figure out how to review prior videos or change the camera settings.
