Behringer PRO MIXER DX626 Professional 3-Channel DJ Mixer with BPM Counter and VCA Control

Bought this to replace my Newmark mixer which was 30 years old. This mixer is easy to use and has a facility to use 3 phono's, which is great for me as I do 3 deck mixing, it has crystal clear sound quality and has plenty of inputs and outputs for various devises. Also when using the headphones it has clear sound and enough volume to enable you to cue your music up comfortably I recommend this mixer.

The Gemini PS626 was without doubt the daddy of the 3-chan mixers. When my old man asked me for advice for a mixer, I proclaimed the Gemini 626. Since Gemini is now the Behringer brand I was suspicious that the design and quality was sacrificed. It doesn't look the same, but the quality is still there; the faders are nice and loose, especially the cross-fade.The EQ does what it's supposed to, and the gain is substantial. My only complaint was the inclusion of a stupid BPM monitor. Real DJs don't care about that. If you have 2 turntables and want to mix then this is perfect. Drop in a CD player (or laptop if needs be), switch to line and you're on. In a nutshell, if you remember the Gemini PS626 then this is the PS626 reborn.

great value. ideal for anyone who needs a mixer. i was prepared to be disappointed because it was only £100 and i wasnt really expecting much but after testing it last night im impressed. a great option if you want to mix and cant afford a premium mixer. get this and you can save up and eventually get a really good one if you want to.

after a month of use this product does exactly what it should i used it a lot and have found no problem with the item it is worth the money and the star rating i gave it is 4 because of better more complicated mixers out there only and does not reflect the good quality and ease of use this mixer gives any user i would give an ease of use 4 out of 5 features 4 out of 5 and worth the money spent as new sliders work well and cross fader is rarely glitchy in the middle to channel 2 or 3 switch or flick from left to right channel change. it has a few options budget mixers do not and i upgraded from a similar behringer with more channels. this just does all you might expect from a good mixer. the beat counter is cut out when no beat is outgoing, as you might expect. good allround little mixer with no problems yet.

Purchased this as a back up mixer but had to return it after a week. It's so poor that Behringer should recall every unit they've sold. The problems: 1. Sound Quality is just poor. The bass is fine, but the Mid's are completely muddy and the Hi's are so harsh it's unbearable. 2. The Phono pre amps built in are complete garbage. Turn the gains to the max, and the audio will still be at 50% volume. 3. The EQ dials are so small and so close together that they're uncomfortable to use. They also feel like I could break them off easily. 4. The headphone and cue system is just... shocking. Using some HD25's. the volume had to be put to max before I could get a decent sound. 5. The BPM counters.... playing 132, and they just stick to 160-170bpm all the time. I don't know Behringer even bothered. 6. Master output shows as being louder on the right channel, even with the balance dial in the centre. Just overall, and unusable mixer. I've used Behringer's studio mixer's in the past, and they've been great. But this thing is just horrific. Save another few hundred and purcahse an entry evel Xone or Pioneer. You buy cheap, you buy twice. I wouldn't keep this mixer even if someone decided to donate it to me.

I did quite a lot of research around this and was looking for as small and simple a piece of kit as possible. As it is I can hook up my 2 1210's and a laptop and easily do 3 deck mixing should I want to. The quality of the sliders, faders and switches is a real step up from my old Numark and it looks the part but is still discrete in the lounge.

The cross fader dips in volume towards the middle, sound ‘leaks’ from the output when trying to cue channels in the headphone. The Beat counter is laughable. Sending this back.

This was great and I loved it while doing a few mixes. I wasn't until I was doing a longer session that I noticed something. When the crossfader is all the way over, say to channel 2, it gives out 100% of that channel. but when the cross fader is right in the middle the volume cuts to around 85-90%... What this means in a DJ perspective is that when 2 tracks are being mixed at the same volume, the overall output volume is reduced. Now, this could be a design flaw or my unit could have had a faulty crossfader. As for build quality, ease of use, and functionality. It's very very good. The Beat counters do a better than average job, a lot better than my old Behringer mixer from yesteryear. One thing I will point out is that sometimes they do not know the difference between say, 74bpm or 148bpm. I'm giving it the rating I have because if it the crossfader is designed that way then it gets 1 star. If mine has just a one off bad crossfader then with a fully working one, this mixer really deserves 5 stars.

Really bad cheap quality. Feels really cheap. The right channel was defective (heavy static noise). The unit that was shipped to me by Amazon was already a returned item by the look of the package and the item itself. Do not buy.
