Perfect for first timers
Fed up with sharing my best friend's snorkel and goggles on holiday (consistently), I knew it was time to bite the bullet and just get my own set... for both of our sakes! How experienced am I? Lets just say i've snorkelled a grand total of three times whilst abroad, and they certainly won't be the last three times either. The sense of freedom one gets from being able to lay in the ocean and move about freely underwater is perfect if you're confident enough to navigate your way around seabeds and currents. In fact, snorkelling itself is far easier than I had originally imagined. So when it came to actually buying a set, I was rest assured that there would be few complications, and so made my way to Amazon. In the end I settled for this nice 'Zoggs Adult Reef Explorer' pack and I don't regret the purchase one bit. The pack was taken to Tenerife where I had no trouble using the product. Set-up was straightforward and couldn't have been simpler; just clip the breathing tube onto the head strap of the goggles and you're pretty much good to go! Before setting off though, I was advised to plop a bit of toothpaste on the visor area of my goggles to prevent misting up, and this proved to be excellent advice as I went for hours with no trouble. The actual fit of the goggles cause no problems, although I was finding later in the week that the head strap kept slipping down the back of my had and rubbing on the top of my ears. Most likely just needs adjusting! As for the breathing tube, I ended up comparing it to other makes and models and the present item appears to be very similar in shape and design. The top features a filter to prevent any nasties getting through, and the form is obviously 'bent' so that when you rise to the surface, you can just tilt your head back, blow hard, and the water drops out easily. Mouthpiece was comfortable, too.The goggles also made an excellent addition to the pool at our hotel, as I found them much more comfortable and clearer to wear than traditional 'swimming' goggles. Obviously I looked silly, but who cares when you're on holiday? No hesitations in recommending this product at all!

Slight defect with snorkel but otherwise good value.
The snorkel was good and relatively comfortable. However there was no hole in the top of the snorkel tube which made breathing difficult. We lost three of our group before we decided to cut a hole in the top, which made it much better.

Good set but could be better
It is a good snorkelling set but it could do with better materials. There is a bad cheap plastic smell when you put it on and it's not very pleasant to wear. Using better materials would make a lot better.

Water came in every use.
I like it but water came in the nose area very quickly every time I use. I assume everyone has different face shape, so it could not help. At least I could see in the water until the water filled up entirely( for awhile, water is only nose area, so it was ok.)

I know he will enjoy the daily use of it until it finally gives ...
On the small side for an adult mask. Cheap plastic strap. Bought as an emergency after packing away my own well fitting expensive kit for moving house.snorkel also a cheap plastic and not well finished ,but has the non return water expel valve that I favour. Having said that, although uncomfortable on the face, it worked well and did not leak when I used it in the red sea at tabs heights. My waiter coveted it.he couldn't afford even a cheap mask. He borrowed it a couple of times and I gave him the set when I left. Skinny fellow who had to adjust the strap down from the full stretch that fit my head.cheap enough to give away with no regrets. I know he will enjoy the daily use of it until it finally gives up the ghost

Good reliable snorkel set
Good snorkel set, lives up to expectations. The only thing that prevented it being 5 stars is that the mask isn't the most comfortable, but when you are using it you don't notice it too much. For this kind of money it is good value for money and the only way you would find a more comfortable mask is to shell out a ridiculous more amount of money for a high-end snorkel. But for recreational use, I would definitely recommend. I would advise getting a set with fins though as swimming in the sea can sometimes be difficult without them, due to currents.

Restricted airflow
Feels like breathing through a 10mm pipe. Not good for vigorous swimming.
