High quality. Recommend. Taste is decent. Price is average. I would purchase again.

We're using this instead of butter now, as we can't get organic butter at our store, much less one salted w/a good mineral-salt instead of highly-refined salt. It's hard for me yet to get my head around that it doesn't even need to be kept in the fridge!

I regularly use this ghee to grease a small baked ceramic skillet before cooking fried or scrambled eggs. It only takes a small bit to grease the entire pan. It's easily spread to all parts of the pan with the underside of a teaspoon. The eggs release perfectly with no sticking or waste of product. The taste is not exactly like butter. I suppose due to it being only the clarified portion of the original butter it's made from. It's fine for cooking and I LOVE that I can store it in the cabinet instead of the refrigerator. That makes it an ideal prepping food as well.

Can't say enough! I hadn't ever tried this before, but if you need butter, and can't get it where you live, you should definitely be using this. It's richer, full of flavor, and has a shelf life that butter would never have. It is superior to butter in EVERY way. If it turns to oil in the heat, don't panic, simply refrigerate. It changes nothing, trust me, it's clarified. This stuff is GREAT! A little bit goes a long way, too. I'm never going back. Flat tasting butter or margarine will never do now. I'm buying this from now on!

Update 10/04/25: After trying one of the other brands of ghee that I bought at the same time as this brand, I've realized that this brand of "ghee" is just gross. I had already decided it was more like butter that's been melted and then re-solidified (which is sort of what ghee is, but it's not that simple) than actual ghee. And this brand is not solid at room temperature like the other is - it's just a sloppy mess. And again, the texture is gritty and unappealing and the taste is all wrong. I don't know what this is, but it's not proper ghee. I'm changing my rating from 3 stars to 1. Original review: I wanted to try some ghee so I ordered a few different kinds. This one is packaged in a much too flimsy container that has no business being shipped! The other brand I got comes in very sturdy plastic jars and were fine, but this stupid packaging split open and the ghee got all over inside the box! I'm just glad I ordered it with other stuff so it was shipped in a cardboard box, because I can't imagine what kind of damage and mess might have occurred if it had been shipped alone in one of those padded mailers! As for the product itself, there was enough left that hadn't leaked out, for me to salvage, and I've been using it... after I put it into another container, then the fridge to solidify for a bit. It does have a grainy texture, which is not my favorite, but I'm not familiar enough with ghee to know if this is how it's supposed to be or not. It tastes okay, kinda like movie theater popcorn butter, frankly, and I think it's a little too salty, but it goes great on mashed potatoes and a ground beef patty. I'm not sure I'd risk having this shipped again, since I don't trust the packaging to make it safely through the shipping process. Things are rough out there!! Anyway, I'm giving it 3 stars for crappy packaging and thinking it will ship safely without damage, and too much salt. It's just okay.

The only reason I didn't give this stuff a 1 star rating is because the packaging was decent. Hubby and I both found the product to be really off-putting. It arrived separated and mealy looking. Mixed it up and it combined but was a bit liquidy so hard to pick up with a butter knife. The texture is just awful, very grainy and gritty. I ordered the Himalayan Pink Salt version and it was completely bland. There was no taste of either butter or salt. We don't normally waste food but this stuff was so bad we decided to throw it out after trying to use it several times. When I dumped it out of the container there was a bunch of pink at the bottom. I don't know if it was mold growing, or if that might have been the salt that didn't get mixed in. Either way I will go back to the better brand as this is not worth the savings.

Been using this ghee for more than a year now and I really love it ! Great quality , great value.

I actually like the taste quite well. that's especially so when it's partly melted; makes food taste like croissants! (and I think the Himalayan Salt may have been deposited at the bottom because so far haven't tasted it.) would get it again from Amazon! came in so well packaged!! (had a mishap getting it, delivery from store, from another mega-store... container crushed, lid torn along the edge -- but product, the same but without the salt, very, very tasty! tasty, like croissants!!)
