I bought a campervan which was a self build by previous owner with dimmable lights. Unfortunately the remote stopped working and our mechanic concluded the receiver was to blame. He removed it and although the lights did work with their switch they were stuck on 100% brightness which was visible from space. It was annoying more than anything else but this weekend I decided I was going to try to do something about it.I looked at the wiring we had and deduced this might work but didn't hold out much hope as after lots of research I could see some others needed wiring and Id not seen what parts my mechanic had removed. Id class myself as inadequate at why DIY. To my surprise, I had this working withing 60 seconds of opening. I did not have to re-pair, just switched it all of, unplugged then plugged this in and bingo. I'm glad to have a spare pack as it does seem that this is a common problem with these lights. All in all a great buy and I hope this review helps others who might be in a similar position.

I needed a switch and dimmer for some LED projects and this fitted the bill.. so far no issues and quality seems acceptable. It has other functions that work but I don't really need but doesn't matter.. iv bought a few of these for similar purposes. I cant speak for the power ratings as my needs dont come close to the stated rating

Eady to use ,works a treat

This is a very simple module to fit. It's just plug&play. The remote works well with several modes. The best bit is that you can dim the lights to about 10% brightness, which is good. Let's hope it lasts longer than the one that came with the kit with the led strip lights (different brand).

I selected these controls to do strip lights in different rooms. But even with the procedure to do 1:1 pairing, they still both switched both sets of lights on. So I’m disappointed with the product because it didn’t work on one of their main USPs in the product info - the individual pairing process just simply doesn’t work. So no use buying 2.

The VIPMOON PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) rf remote dimmer is good for driving LEDs, it does not seem to get hot even when working near the maximum 5A current continuous. They have tails that need to be wired in, so (I thought) eliminating one of the usual unreliable parts – the plugs.At a glance these may look the same and might even have the same control chip, but the reliability is nowhere near the other versions from other manufacturers I have bought over the last eight years, and these VIPMOON lack connectors which has proved to add time and expense.Unfortunately half of the four VIPMOON dimmers I bought stopped working after a few weeks, and I’ve recently replaced them all with these which have plugs, much more convenient for quick changes, and so far more reliable.Each of my twelve samples from different suppliers at different times has woken up in ‘candle flicker’ mode, which might make one think it’s broken. Pairing the remote will fix this.Over the years the pairing software has varied. Initialising the ‘Light’ (green button) link from the Remote in the first three seconds after applying 12V allows one to customise the light characteristics as desired on four out of my six. The most recent two are paired, but other button combinations can alter this.The dimmer module remembers the last setting, even when the 12V is removed.Red On/Standby button does as expected, when 12V is present.Note that this is another setting also remembered. Eg if it had been switched to standby and then the 12V switched also off, and later only the 12V switched on again one might think the dimmer is broken!Bright + and Bright - buttons allow ten steps of brightness.Speed + and Speed - buttons allow ten steps of ‘dynamic’ speed.Mode + and Mode - buttons allow eight choices of ‘dynamic’ modeLight will leave ‘dynamic’ modes100% will leave ‘dynamic’ modes and set 100%50% will leave ‘dynamic’ modes and set 50%25% will leave ‘dynamic’ modes and set 25%Modes might be somewhat disturbing with a big bright LED array, beware! FlashThen the speed of all these can be varied from eye watering fast on the strobes to sleepy slow on the fades. Unpleasant.However all I’ve ever wanted them for is to be able to run the LEDs at about 50% brightness for most of the time, with occasional 100%.The remote uses one CR2025 lithium cell.

These are brilliant and for only a round a few pounds each they are amazing value for koney, so simply to install, I simply soldered them inline with the wiring for LED lighting I am installing in my boat and they work perfectly. Even better news, you can use one remote to controll all of them, turning various ones off or on by going through the on/off button, it turns each one off individually, then going through the on/off swicth again it turns them on or off in various orders so you can have the exact lighting on that you want.I have 3 of these installed so far, they operate internal 12v ledd light, one does the cceiling/uplighting, one does blue hidden mood lighting and the third does led lighting/downlighting.They can be dimmed in incriments, 100% power, 75% power, 50% power and 25% power which is also very handy.Finally you can set them up so they flash (tho tbh I find that a little unbearable in a small cabin - lol).I have raved about these to friends and anyone who has seen them in the boat has been very impressed.

ik zocht een simpele oplossing voor het dimmen van mijn trapverlichting. met bijgeleverde afstandsbediening meerdere lichtopties mogelijk.

Fonctionne bien ,mais la portée de la télécommande est limité, voir très limité s'il y a un obstacle .

ik heb deze bestelling 403-4402047-4851540 gelijk geroutineerd daar deze niet werkte op mijn ledstrip die ik ook besteld had alle gegevens zijn bij U bekend maar de terugbetaling van eur 21,98 nog niets van vernomen niet terugbetaald hoe zit dat nu...bestel toch veel bij Amazon en nu [email protected] zijn hier radeloos
