I purchased this useful adapter so that I could use 'noise cancellation' headphones (3.5mm jack plug) with my Nokia E71 phone on trains & planes, allowing me to listen to programmes recorded on BBC I-Player in stereo, and it did the job perfectly. Obviously the microphone part of the E71 2.5mm socket cannot be used, but the E71 built-in microphone can be used if you wanted to make a phone call with headphones connected. The speed of delivery and price charged were excellent.

I bought this to transfer a precious recording from my answerphone to my laptop. Unfortunately the phone has a 4-band 2.5mm socket (for headphones plus a microphone) and this adaptor only has the standard three-band stereo connections. However it worked OK, but only gave me the right channel. Since the recording is mono this didn't matter. More of an issue was that it didn't always make good contact, and had to be pushed hard and twisted a bit from time to time. That said, it did the job that I bought it for. It was so cheap that it was worth a try, and it paid off.

I did not get what I ordered. I got a long 2.5 wire with a 3.5 input at the end with a microphone and clip. It was of poor quality and is not up to the job of listening to music. Besides, it is too long to add headphones to and conceal in a jacket with comfort and it is not what I ordered! I have bought this exact product before, from PJP ELECTRONIC. It was great, then my cat took it and I couldn't find it! I went to get another and ordered again. It came and as stated it was the wrong product and it doesn't work properly. So double fail! I then checked my invoice, this time it was from Star e-shop. I have ordered again, from PJP. So get it from PJP and all will be well!

I bought this for the wife to use her phone as an MP3 player in the car, as I previously bought a converter set for the cassette player. The phone is a Nokia phone with a 2.5mm port. It worked first time and with much better clarity than the previous, cheap MP3 player purchased from Tesco. The quality of the lead is up to the task and is still working after a month or so. I waited around 10 days for this to be delivered from "Oxfordshire Accessories". I required a two ring adapter as shown in the picture, but was sent a 3 ring adapter instead, not helpful for my Panasonic FZ200 camera. After research, I found that I needed a 2 ring adapter for my Rode external microphone to work with my FZ200 camera. The product that was sent is to be fair, top quality. I was sent a Nokia branded adapter in Carphone Warehouse retail packaging. If you are unaware of what I mean by 2 ring and 3 ring, it's simply the amount of black rings around the metal connector part of the adapter. The picture shows 2 rings, I was sent one with 3 rings. For my microphone to work, it needs to be a 2 ring adapter.

Yes, well. What can you say about a cheaper than a bag of chips adaptor which works precisely as it should. Have I made twenty whole words yet? Can't be bothered to take my socks off to count to twenty. Inexpensive, seems well constructed. The plastics are neither brittle nor do they smell of leaking plasticiser. The wire seems a reasonable thickness and is pliable. If you need one to adapt normal 3.5 to 2.5 headphone sockets, here it is. If you want one to use 2.5mm headers and want a pre-assembled lead for electronic projects, this is cheaper than the 2.5mm plugs + 3.5mm sockets.

Cable sencillo, pero válido para su cometido. Lo necesitaba porque tengo un MP3 que usa ese conector para los cascos y éstos normalmente traen conexión de 3.5 mm. Tardo un par de semanas en llegar, pero estoy contento con el precio y el producto recibido.

Adattatore ottimo per aux 1.5. Buona la qualità del materiale, io lo uso per collegare le cuffie al telefono di casa e funziona benissimo!

Nutze den Adapter, um an meine Fuji Kamera ein externes Mikrofon anzuschließen. Es rastet sauber ein und funktioniert. Das Kabel könnte etwas dicker sein, um die Langlebigkeit zu verbessern.

L'adattatore funziona perfettamente e consente di collegare un microfono con jack 3.5mm alle macchine fotografiche con presa da 2.5mm, come la Fuji X30.
