Top notch product
Dylon black nubuck / suede dye.I have a pair of black Merrels Nubuck slip on shoes and which I've had for years, my feet and these shoes have grown older together. So I was reluctant to chuck them out when they became `patchy' in colour where the black colour has over time, worn away a little.I bought this Dylon black dye to give them a new lease of life - and it has been very successful. The product comes supplied with instructions and it's own little brush for applying to your shoes. They say that there is enough content to dye one pair of shoes or small boots, however, I dyed my (size 10) Merrels with a single coat and only used half the content of the bottle. This was black on black so I imagine that if you were changing the colour it would require two coats.Application is simple: Lay out some old newspaper in an area where the odd splash won't matter and wear protective gloves/clothing as the dye is permanent, brush up the 'nap' of the nubuck or suede with a suede brush, then using the supplied brush `paint' the liquid dye onto the shoe. Try to paint around any feature on the shoe that you don't want to colour or mask it with masking tape. They recommend that you leave the shoes to dry for 24 hours, but mine were ready to wear in about two hours and looked brand new again.

Uggs Rejuvenated
I was a bit nervous about applying dye to ugg boots as I'd read reports of varying degrees of success. But as they were greying and past their best I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did as they'd have been in the bin otherwise.I used one bottle and a little out of a second to cover a pair of classic short black suede boots. There were no problems avoiding the heel label or the fabric round the edges with the brush supplied. I left them 24hours, brushed them up and they now look so much better. Not new obviously as they still have that lived in look but are now a nice even, dark black colour again.Only thing I would say, and it may seem obvious, is make sure you get rid of any marks before dying. I had a slight salt/water mark and it is still visible after dying albeit darker. Other than that I'm really pleased with the result.

Easy to use, suitable for faded black items. Boots will need more than one bottle.
The dye is very easy to use - it comes with a little paintbrush, and you just paint it on your shoes or boots. I poured it into a little glass pot (from one of those posh individual puddings!) which worked better than a saucer (too easy to splash and spill). The dye is a very thin liquid and splashes easily, so definitely put newspaper everywhere, work outside if you can, and protect your clothes - wear gloves too if your skin is sensitive as it is likely to splash on your fingers. One bottle of dye is supposed to do a pair of shoes - it will do one coat on shoes, but you will need 2 or 3 bottles for a pair of boots which can get quite expensive. If your item is not nearly black to start with, you may need more than one coat (and another bottle).I used these to dye a pair of suede riding gaiters which were a faded dark khaki/brown sort of colour. I needed 4 bottles of dye (2 coats) to get them looking properly black. I was pleased that the dye effectively coloured the stitching and trim and around the zip as well as the suede. The finished items were a little more stiff textured than before but they softened up with use (brushing with a suede brush also helped).I was quite pleased with the finished result but disappointed that I needed to use several bottles to get a good colour -still cheaper than buying a new pair but more expensive than I'd hoped. I’d recommend this only for items that are already black, just a little faded, and need freshening up - not for dyeing from a different colour.

One bottle will not be enough to change the colour
I purchased this dye in Black for dyeing a pair of burgundy ankle boots, since it's supposed to be suitable for changing the colour to a darker one.Probably it works fine if you are using the same colour as the item's original one, I cannot comment on this.My ankle boots are not 100% suede, more like 80% (the reminder is patent leather). One bottle wasn't enough and I will need to order a second one.The dye has a very liquid formula (I would have preferred something a bit more thick) and you will create some mess around you. Lucky, it goes off with acetone.I kept applying the dye in multiple layers for around 2 hours, until I ran out of it. It's laborious, but I hope that when I will apply the second bottle my boots will look nice.

TRIED AND TRUSTED!
Bought these red boots in the sale. Wanted Black but theyd sold out in my size. I have used Dylon [Suede] in the past so i knew i would be ok with it. I am very pleased with the result. Bought two bottles...[ i am a size 7 UK] Used one full bottle and half of the 2nd one. I used masking tape to protect the rubber sole, because [from past experience ] i know how difficult it is to remove stains from rubber! Hope these pictures help all my fellow DIY Enthusiasts out there! ...In any case...its kept me busy during LOCK DOWN.....Stay Safe Guys!!

The were looking pretty shabby and had lost their good looks
I was really impressed with this Dylon product. I have a pair of Lowa Renegades that I wear daily. The were looking pretty shabby and had lost their good looks. Within 10 minutes they were completely restored. Very easy to use I didn't use the supplied brush I used a paint brush, it is very easy to apply, covers very well and is itself a good colour. I only coated them once and it was my first time using this product, with hind sight maybe 2 coats a few hours apart would have given me incredible results. I bought 2 bottles but used only half of one bottle on both boots. This will keep my boots looking very fresh for ages!!!! 100% Recommended.

Easy to use.
This product made my most favorite pair of 5-year-old Ugg black suede boots look new again! They looked gray and faded in several places. I applied this dye over the entire boot, hitting a few of the more faded areas twice, let it dry, then went over with a suede brush to raise the nap again, and they truly look new. I used a small foam paint/stain applicator to apply as it covered a lot more area than the dauber that came with the product. Little tight areas can be touched up with a cotton swab. Be sure to wear protective gloves or you'll be wearing the dye for several days till it wears off. I had read reviews saying it took a lot, so I ordered an extra bottle. But I did not need it. The suede will suck up a lot of dye, though, so your mileage may vary.

bien
