Just add batteries and after a few minutes it’s working perfectly. Nice clear screen showing time, day, date and temperature. If you want is to display the 24 hour clock (which I do) you need to start the clock in manual mode, adjust from 12 to 24 hour and then switch to automatic time keeping. Hopefully it will be as reliable as the other Youshiko clock I’ve had for over 4 years now.

This is a very useful addition to the home. The LCD screen is clear, and the numbers are big enough (large numbers - 45mm / 1.75inch, small numbers 25mm / 1 inch) to be read from across a decent sized room. Having the date and temperature are nice features too. There are little feet that extend out from the back if you want to stand it on your desk, or a single 'keyhole' hanging point in the middle at the top on the rear, if you want to hang it on the wall. It looks nice and smart, and the finish is reasonable, if not quite up to the 'brushed aluminium' standards of expensive brands like Apple computers etc. The instructions are a little complicated, like many electronic devices, but there is a paper instruction leaflet included, and there is a simple way to set the time and date, by pressing a couple of buttons, which uses a radio signal to automatically set the date and time over night, if you leave it near a window. This also keeps the time automatically right, and I think it will adjust for daylight savings time automatically too. Overall, it is a good looking and useful item to have. It takes 2 x AA batteries (I can't remember if they were included or not - check description).

You can't see the screen when it's above you at its normal angle; you have to get it in the right place to see the screen. Otherwise, you just get a hard-to-read mess. It was easy to set up and looked nice. I didn't try it for long, but I know that these types of clocks have very long battery life, depending on the batteries you use. The price I paid was very reasonable, but because I couldn't see the screen, only at a very specific angle, I decided to rerun it.

I have owned two of these for a year and I'm very pleased with them. They're still running on the first set of alkaline batteries (two AA-size). I've sited them in the lounge and the kitchen, on a table surface. They need to be placed where they don't get knocked, as the fold-out supporting legs collapse inwards quite easily. The one in the lounge is positioned by the TV and is useful for programme timings. As with all radio-corrected clocks you may need to position it close to a window, so that it can pick-up the signal and self-correct. I had a particular position in mind on a wall, but then found it wouldn't pick up the signal. I was previously given a round, sweep-hand, self-correcting clock but it had an annoying 'tick', audible when there was no background noise; however, these clocks operate silently. The US-style 'reverse' date isn't a problem as I'm used to seeing the same on my watch, but it could be confusing if you're not used to it... is it the fifth day of the sixth month or the sixth of the fifth one? (I see that Amazon now sells a more costly version of Youshiko clock with UK-style dates.) They're totally accurate, and the temperature display is useful to confirm my house temperature when the heating is on. I've started to use glasses to read, and I struggle to read the digits on my wrist-watch in dim light, so these clocks are a real boon. They can be read from the side at about 10 degrees, and from about 9 paces away in subdued light. I'm buying another one for my elderly mother, as she's always asking 'What day is it?' or 'What's the date?', especially when taking her medication. The style is fine for a modern interior, but maybe it wouldn't really suit a strongly traditional/retro decor. Anyway, an excellent, well-priced buy... and a very worthwhile present, too.

This is an attractive and useful clock. It is very easy to set up, and in my case showed the correct time within a few minutes. You can choose the 12 hour or 24 hour format, and the seconds show up clearly too for those, like me, who want absolute accuracy! The date and day of the week are also shown, as is the temperature. You can even choose between Cent. and Far., which is very welcome for those of us who still grasp Farenheit more quickly. This light-weight clock can be used free-standing (via two retractable 'feet' which make it stable) or hung on a wall (there is a slot on the back to place over a nail or hook). I would like the clock to be a little smaller for my tiny kitchen, but there is nothing else I would change. It is well worth the modest price. And moreover the instructions that come with it include an email address if you have any after-sales questions you want to put. My one question received an amazingly quick reply (even at the weekend). I unhesitatingly give it 5 stars.

This very easy on the eyes as the numerals are large. Unfortunately it does not have a light that is easily accessible.

L’orologio di per se’ è anche bello, bianco, lineare, però è per il mercato inglese, Manuale solo in inglese ed essendo radio controllato l’orario torna sempre su quello dell’inghilterra! Quindi impossibile usarlo in Italia

Non è possibile impostare un fuso orario, ritorna sempreverde un'ora indietro. Se aperto ed eliminato l antenna (è quella in foto) funziona bene ma senza controllo radio
