Good Food: Slow cooker favourites

I was pleasantly surprised by this book and decided to keep it over another book I was expecting to be better; but wasn’t! Its little and very useful to me, I like a lot of the recipes It has some very classic recipes in such as spag bol, chilli, chicken pie, spiced carrot and lentil soup A must-have for the slow cooker and cooking novice Its a winner for me and its reignited my relationship with my slow cooker :D Bring on winter!

Some recipes are a bit involved, not as simple as just chucking it all together, still a nice book.

I bought this to replace a very old but still used slow cooker cook book. In addition to all the classics like stews, soups, casseroles etc., the book also has some unusual but very useful new ideas and suggestions, that would normally be made using an oven. It's too soon for me to comment on how effective the recipes are but I am looking to trying out a few soon. There are even suggestions for breakfasts. Some recipes require ingredients to be added during cooking process. Others are all in and forget until needed. There is a lot of variety so I would recommend owning this as a good overall starter book for the choice available.

Its and ok book, as some people have said it's maybe not truly a slow cooker book, however that said what I have made so far has been good . I think for the cost is fine as I will no doubt enjoy some of the recipes .

Great little receipe book

There are some decent recipes in here,. However this book has a good portion of recipes where the book tells us to either put it under the grill, remove everything to make a sauce in the pan and even cook things in the oven. I am very disappointed, because I had disabilities in my hands and wrists and wouldnt even think of putting my 5 litre crockery pot in my oven, even if I could lift it up full of food. Disappointing, as I have cooked hundreds of meals from the good food website.
