This bench arrived quickly and went together well. Unlike the problems that other reviewers had, there were no bits to cut off inside and was easy to construct. Its very sturdy and has enough room inside to house the seat/bench covers which is what I wanted it for to get them out of the shed.I also purchased the bench cover to go with it but it doesn't fit as well as I'd like. Its smaller than the seat. However, its OK and will do. Overall at the moment, I'm pleased with this storage bench. We haven't had rain yet, so fingers crossed it is as the seller says, waterproof.Update: Well, we've had plenty of rain since I submitted my review and I can confirm it's waterproof. The only thing is, the seat remains wet - because it's plastic, it doesn't dry up like the usual garden seats and the rain water remains in the grooves. Still happy with it though. :)

Putting it together was fairly easy to be fair, it did look flimsy when in bits but after it was put together it is a sturdy bench, if I were to be harsh the base floor of the bench could be made of a solid piece of plastic as it is a large storage space and will hold a substantial amount of garden and other items.Paul

A super sturdy bench and it looks great. I wasn't sure about the star rating. Definitely 4 for the bench itself but really a 3 for the rain problem with the storage. The amount of storage is great. However, there is a gully at the back where the rain collects and if you lift the seat it will pour in.

The new Keter bench arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. It looks great in our garden and sits 3 adults very comfortably. The 2 metal supports help make this bench strong and sturdy. The storage space is waterproof and ideal to store cushions etc. A quick wipe over after rain is the only 'maintenance' needed. This is a great buy. We are so pleased we decided to replace our old bench with this one!

After reading all reviews, I was prepared to have to trim off some excess plastic, so was armed with a sharp knife. When opened, was horrified to see just how much needed trimming. Spent the first half hour trimming every single joint and edge, as most of the assembly is slot together, this would not have been possible without trimming. I can see why so many people had problems. Once the trimming was done, it wasn’t too difficult to assemble, although it really does need 2 people. It felt very flimsy while assembling, but when complete was quite sturdy. The only problem is that the sides come ready assembled, and it is obvious these parts were not trimmed, as there were bits of plastic sticking out of the joints, and didn’t fit flush. If these parts were finished properly before leaving the factory, I would say it was very good, but sadly it was a very shoddy piece of work. After saying all that, I am quite pleased with the finished result.

I was dreading this arriving after reading the reviews, but I have to say, it was easy enough to assemble, seems sturdy. It is a lot darker than the advertised picture - which is disappointing. Couple of scuffs on the plastic - but for the cost I'm OK with this. Im sure I will soon scuff it myself. The seat depth is good...couple of cushions and I'll be sorted!

Purchased this bench formy back garden. It arrived with two right handed parts instead of a left and a right part. I contacted Ketter to get a replacement part. What a nightmare. Waited months, being told that they didn't have the part in stock.Gave up in the end and cannibalised the wrong part to make it fit , of sorts .

We love this bench, storage space, we had no problem putting it together, very comfortable to sit on and looks really good. We read the reviews before purchase and yes water will settle on top and if you open the storage lid it will go into the storage area, because we were aware of this we also purchased a cover and therefore have no problem. It will get hot because of the dark colour but again we are aware of this and can just cover it. Overall so far we love the bench.
