ArcadiaMini UVB Kit - 8W 400lm - 340 x 40 x 30mm - Includes 2.4% UVB Lamp

Didn’t come with the sticky pads as everyone else has mentioned, but we used double side sticky tape and it’s worked fine. Other than that, it’s a good light, covers a good amount of the vivarium and my leopard gecko seems to enjoy it.

Used this for my tortoise in her tank. Easy to fit and just what she needed for essential vitamins that she would get from sunlight

Not the easiest to install, came without the tape needed for the reflector.. Good thing we have some decent tape for it but would have been nice for it to actually arrive with it, Not too clear on the instructions either but found a good video on YouTube by Leapord gecko who explains it alot better. Overall working well, been running all day while preparing for gecko to ensure it doesnt alter the temp so far its working well and hasnt altered it in anyway, Warm to touch but doubt it would be hot enough to burn. Deffinetly reccomend this, just make sure to have some professional heat proof sticky tape to plase the reflector on!

Purchased for my parents budgie.I can only comment now on the product and not its effects as it has not been long enough to gauge results.The product was not packaged very well; The product box was placed diagonally in a delivery box that was not long enough and without any packaging. The fact it arrived without damage is probably more luck than design.The instructions are not very clear to understand (e.g. there was no mention of the fact that a protective membrane is placed over the side of the reflector that should be used. This one was so well attached that it just looked a different colour to the other side) and quite small.For these reasons i have knocked off 1 star.The lamp itself is your standard strip light fitting. It comes with two different types of fixings; One type allows fitting above into a ceiling etc. and the other for fitting to a wall. The reflector is attached with a couple of double sided sticky tabs and can be plced under the lamp or to the side as required.It has a reasonable length power cable, although you may need an extension if you have a high cage, and a link cable to connect up to ten other lamps.The brightness of the lamp (for us humans) is rated at 400lumens and in practice it is quite bright to look directly at but peripherally is on par with a standard lamp and doesn't cause glare.Overall happy and hopefully the budgie will agree. I will update in a few months regarding the effects.

I use this UVB mini kit for my leopard gecko. It's becoming more common to keep a very low uv light on Leo's and this mini kit is perfect. It's been on my gecko for awhile and she's as healthy as ever. It comes on for an hour in the morning, an hour in the evening and i use it to help me see in her vivarium. She'll usually stick a leg or tail into the light or hide from it. Should be used with Arcadias EarthProA seeing as once a Leo has a UVB light they can produce their own D3 and no longer need synthetic D3 but they do have other supplement requirements.When used properly UVB lights are beneficial to Leopard Geckos. Always research properly beforehand.

I purchased a UVB lamp kit for my parrot which was missing accessories, instructions and with an extension cord that does not work. It took a lot of youtubing and jiggery pokery to even get this switched on, and even then it isn't long enough to reach the cage.

This is a great little light. Its good value for money and my parrot loves to bask in it.The instructions to fit it were a bit lacking but we managed to get round it and screw it to the wall above the cage.

Worked when I tested it, installed it and then it didn’t work. No idea why it won’t work… Tried to contact Amazon, only option is to return. Couldn’t return because I’m out of the timeframe but I want to fix the problem, not return. Contacted the seller and months later still have no reply, and a light that doesn’t work. Annoyed to have spent the money only to have it break for no apparent reason, and annoyed further that the customer service for this company, who I thought was Arcadia but is actually Northern Parrots - so also this is false advertising. Will be checking the seller closely for all future purchases!
