Fluval Edge Aquarium Algae Clear

great product and good value for money, makes a big difference, to the water, and use it with other filter products from fluval.

The product is great if a little on the pricey side. It does keep the water crystal clear. Some people have stated that the material quickly becomes very soft and can tare causing the contents to disgorge into the water. A bit like a torn tea bag. I had this happen with the first sachet, basically it floated out of the filter and into the tank, snagged a plastic shipwreck, tore and spilled everywhere. Most annoying. The solution is simple though: rather than just placing the sachet on top of the bio bag just make sure the spare mesh of the bio bag wraps over the top of the sachet. Then it won't be able to slip out and into the tank.See photo for example

Easy to use and has reduced algae. Not eliminate tho . Still working on problem

Use these in my tank all the time. Definitely helps keep the tank clear. Will keep buying these.

It seems to be very effective at keeping the algae clear but it is flimsy, prone to tearing and Fluval need to look at some way of keeping it in place. Currently it sits on the top of the filter material and often finishes up floating in the tank like a tea bag.

used this product before and it really does work very wellrecommend it to anyone who keeps fish in aquarium

Fantastic makes a real difference clear water

This Item seems to work & keeps most of the Algae at bay, however the big problem i have found is the containment material used is very thin & does not take too kindly to handling when wet, when doing a filter change you have to treat this item with kid gloves otherwise it splits allowing the contents into the aquarium, Apart fron this a very good product.

für bis zu 60L Aquarien sind die Pads okay aber man sollte echt nicht zu viel Erwarten hält halt etwas den Algenbefall zurück.

Aber diese Skeptis legte sich wieder nachdem der Algae Clear sich eingelaufen hatte, Natürlich sind die Algen die da waren nicht verschwunden, aber ich würde sagen, es sind auch keine Neuen dazugekommen :-)

Algen Clear tut das, was es soll.Nämlich vor Algen schützen. Aber Vorsicht Tüte kann nach einiger Zeit reissen, so das sich der Inhalt ins Aquarium ergiesst. Nicht schlimm, nur eine zusätzliche Reinigung nötig. Tüte also sehr anfällig, bitte beim Filter reinigen vorsichtig sein!! Aber zu empfehlen.

Es konnte in meinem Fluval EDGE keine Veränderung durch einbringen dieses "Pads" erkannt werden. Ob man es braucht, bleibt dann wohl jedem selbst überlassen. Ich werde in Zukunft auf dieses Pad verzichten

Ich habe seit einigen Monaten ein Problem mit Algen in meinem Fluval Edge I. Trotz regelmäßiger Reinigung (also Scheiben, Wasserwechsel etc) kehren die Algen immer schnell zurück und die Scheiben werden schnell wieder schmutzig. Ich hatte gehofft, dieses Produkt würde die Entwicklung zumindest langsamer machen, davon habe ich aber rein garnichts bemerkt. Schade! Ich würde es also nicht nochmal kaufen...
