Fender Mini Twin Guitar Amp

I got this partly to amplify electric guitars in quiet situations - home practice - for which it's fine, and partly in the hope it'd perhaps be suited to accompanying young/beginner drums students.For amplifying guitars at home, it's fine: it really is very quiet, but I not only don't mind that... I like it! I prefer a mostly clean sound, and that means it stays on the quieter side of its already quiet range. The distorted sounds give a higher output. Perhaps I'll get into that one day? But so far, so quiet.The other use I'd hoped it might have is for playing MP3s through when I teach drum lessons. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, it's not really up to that, excepting perhaps for the quietest of ballads! I've only used it in battery mode so far. But it's kept going plenty, and as yet not needed a new 9V battery. Given it's got two speakers, it's a pity, in my view, that they didn't include a stereo input, so you can listen to backing tracks in stereo.In terms of look and feel, it's a lovely little thing. Cute, frankly. It appears pretty well made, as well. It's got a classic retro look. The sound is less classic, but it does what it's designed to do: amplify guitars at low levels whilst looking cool.

This little amp is awesome! I bought it on behalf of my son, but personally I love it. It's as if its big brother the full size Fender tweed has been shrunk by some sort of sci-fi shrink ray.It has volume, tone, drive and on and off switch, jack input, headphone output and 9v plug for a little transformer if you get tired of replacing batteries.No idea how long the 9v battery lasts as we haven't worn it out yet, but considering how small this dinky little amp is it sounds awesome!It is a beautifully built, pack it in your hand-luggage size amp.

i bought this amp to save me draging my larger amps around the house. the amplifier is very well built, it has plenty of volume and the tone is quite acceptable. the main drawback is that you cannot obtain a clean sound from the unit.Even with the gain at one and the master volume turned on full, the sound is distorted. This happens even when i play my low gain pickup guitars like my telecaster.on the plus side when you crank up the gain and plug in an sg it sounds the business. If you are into rock guitar and your budget is restricted then this is the mini amp for you.

This is a fantastic little amp. Perfect for practice, loud enough without disturbing the neighborhood. It sounds great and is very well made - well worth the money - every budding guitarist should have one of these. Get one for your teenage son your ears will thank you! You can get matching tweedy cable for it in different lengths as well.

Small amp....HUGE SOUND!

Great fun this thing. Ok so there's minimum bass but what do you expect from such a small speaker?One reviewer mentioned that it distorts even with the gain turned down, but this only happens when the battery is low.With a new battery the sound is clear and the volume is fine. Incredibly well made as well.

This was a Christmas present and I must say its not a bad little amp. The sound quality is not bad and size makes it very portable.

Bought as a Christmas present for my 16 year old son, he absolutely loves it. just right for a practice amp. would recommend to anyone who is into playing electric guitar. Also, it's different from the normal practice amps, (other brands). Arrived on delivery date stated when ordered.Overall, very pleased.
