do i need to water after planting it

I didn't...I just let nature do the watering...I live in Rochdale so we get a decent amount of rain.

Ok but did not survive the summer heat - though our soil is very Sandy. Since we have had a little rain seems to be sprouting - so will be better placed to comment in a few weeks time

How much do i need to sow over an existing patchy (suffered from drought last summer) lawn of about 500 square meters?

Dependant on actual damage, Heavier seeding over bare patches, Upto 50g per sq metre on bare patches, where it is not too bad 10g per sq metre, give it a good scarifying 1st though and wait until hard frosts have finished, I would buy a 5kg sack and if you need more then buy more but there's nothing worse than having too much

Does the job

Its far from blue !!! But - it is drought resistant and puts my existing grass to shame in this respect. Worth the money

Doesnt work

Only gave it a one star because I wasn't permitted to leave it blank. I did everything possible to get this seed to germinate and grow with zero success. The patches had been raked, forked, lined with topsoil, seeded and covered with topsoil and watered frequently. I used all of the seed at the back of the property so had to use other seed at the front from the local B&Q. Exactly the same methodology was used and the B&Q grass grew very quickly, still nothing at the back! Rubbish!

Don't waste your time or money on this glass seed

Arrived in a plain white bag, not like photo,sewn on front lawn watered daily for 3 weeks, and nothing has grown.
