2.5mm TRRS Male-to-3.5mm Female Headphone Adapter

This 2.5 trrs connecter is out of date. Not for hifi audio.

I bought the V-MODA BoomPro microphone to use with my Bose QC25 headphones. In my loud work environment, I wanted to enjoy my Bose’s active noise cancelling but with a noise filtering microphone so others could hear my voice without the background noise of my workplace.I didn’t realize the VMODA used a 3.5 mm male end until I opened the box. Frustrated, I figured an adapter would be easy to find. I was really surprised to find out that the 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adapter is rare and only available online. Moreover, the adapters on Amazon all have mixed to bad reviews.I bought this product on RadioShack’s website where it has positive reviews. I figured the complaint of the only reviewer here on Amazon would not be relevant to me. I didn’t need audiophile approved audio quality. I just needed my mic to connect to my headphones.Unfortunately, the QC25 plug is just too recessed and so this adapter can not reach deep enough to plug in.There is another adapter on Amazon that was slimmer but the reviews were so bad I wanted to give this one a try. Alas the hunt continues.I am going to attempt to see if it’s possible to remove the black casing or file it down a little bit to make it fit.This product feels relatively durable. Unfortunately I’m not able to use it to test its sound quality.
