Once applied between fire boards, can you paint over this?

I have a piece of vermiculite 2m x 1m to stick to a wall - will two tubes be enough or will I need more?

does this stick fire resistant boards to metal (and plaster)

Oops... I haven't used it yet. However, from my research it's the correct heat resistant adhesive for the boards. I bought it to line my chimney breat with boards and will be sticking it to bricks & plaster. I'm sure it will work.
