My cats can no longer escape their carrier by pushing their heads against a zip and appearing unannounced on a journey! It’s a solid carrier and top opening so easier to get my two in and out. It also has a small door so you can stroke them if they need (or more like want) a fuss. Good size for bigger cats too and seems strong with a good carrying handle that also appears well designed (like a supermarket basket) it’s probably as light as it could be for a good sized carrier. Easy to clean too.

I took a chance in using this carrier to collect my cat from a hospital stay. I added a towel that had been sprayed with Feliway, and a valerian pillow, but the carrier had no smell of home because it was straight from the box. I needn’t have worried because she curled up for the journey, favouring the end with the extra vents, and occasionally she came along for a little chin tickle before settling back down. She did cry a little to start with but, overall, she spent less time being upset on this 40 mile journey than on a typical 2 mile trip to the vet. The box felt sturdy and it didn’t swing while I carried it. The handle locks in but not as much as one might like if they had an energetic cat. My hands aren’t in great shape but I managed the latches without any problem. It contained no plasticky smell. It is narrower on the base where it is basket-like in nature, but that wasn’t a problem. I’d say she had more turning space than usual and that she had plenty of room, more than in her usual medium sized carrier. It looks a bit special too. I will keep it around the house and see if she wants to sleep in it while she is still too weak to climb onto my bed. I get the feeling that it is a cosy box where a cat would feel nicely cocooned. Thank you to the Amazon community for answering my question around whether it was too dark in there. It wasn’t.

Fantastic carrier - sturdy, spacious, stylist and so much easier to use than the traditional “box” style. The lock feature on the front is excellent and provides reassurance and security. My cat is very nervous and this basket has made life easier. She has her blanket in there and seems to settle better. She is able to see out of the basket and I feel this really helps. Only negative is the flap at the back, I liked the feature as my cat usually has an accident in the carrier so I could get it out easily. No chance! My cat can fit through this flap so use with caution!

I have two of these carriers because they are so well-made and easy to use. I like the fact that the handle is attached to the bottom part of the carrier, which gives added security. It is also far easier to put a (reluctant) cat inside this type of carrier than a side loading one. Neither of my cats are good travellers and they both do their best to imbalance the carrier as you're walking with it, by throwing themselves at one end and forcing the basket to tip sideways. However the handle and basket are sturdy enough to withstand such antics! But as someone else has pointed out, there is a major flaw in the design of the carrier. The feeding and petting opening can be head-butted by a cat from the inside, and forced open. My male cat is a large breed and weighs 5.7kg - there is no way he should be able to fit through the small hatch, but he forced it open, wriggled out and ended up running wildly round the car on the way to the vets. I have since noticed that one carrier has a much stronger catch on the feeding/petting opening than the other one. I bought them a few months apart but the design is exactly the same, so there shouldn't really be any difference. Even with the stronger catch properly shut, my male cat is still able to get out by repeatedly pushing his head upwards until the catch gives way. So I have had to secure this opening with cable ties and tape, which spoils the lovely aesthetic carrier! Thankfully the main opening is at the other end so the carrier is still functional but it bothers me that it has a design fault. If the flimsy catch was replaced by the same locking mechanism that secures the main opening, I don't think Houdini cats would be able to escape. I am yet to find a better carrier, so still rate this very highly. Many people stop to admire the carriers too, and ask where I got them from. The vets also really like the design because they can do a preliminary examination of the cat whilst still inside, which is great for timid cats.

5 stars won't let me select! This is by far the best cat carrier. Handle works like a car seat, push the round bit on each side and the handle drops. Easy open and lock to keep them escaping. Flap at back is a nice touch to get your hand in to stroke them but too small for them to get out. Had a few compliments off vets. Can recommend.

Absolutely in love with this holder... and so is Misty. Her old crate was the source of so much extra stress at the vets. Having one limited means of access to a crate with a nervous cat is a recipe for disaster and scrams and bites. This makes the situation so much easier as I can gently lift her out from the top. Important to me is the little hatch as well, as I can pet her and reassure her on the way to the vets. My only regret is not buying this years ago.

What a brilliant basket this is! Both practical and effective! Easy top opening, surprisingly roomy inside even our big ginger cat can get in and out without any issues and very strong too. The handle is robust enough to carry a large cat. Very happy!

My cat head butted her way out in a few minutes , fortunately I was still in the car. The small opening does not have a working catch only a weak snap closure which can be pushed open A nice carrier, ruined by a dangerous opening where a pet can push out of. Very very nasty. I had to use gaffer tape.

Putting my cat in a transport basket used to be a source of huge stress. It’s way easier to put the cat in this one with the wide lid.

Je cherchais un panier de transport pour ma minette de 5,5 kg. Il fallait que ce panier ait une ouverture sur le dessus : c'est mieux qu'espéré, car le "couvercle" peut s'enlever totalement si on le veut. Je voulais également qu'il soit aéré et que ma minette puisse voir un peu au travers, et c'est le cas, comme on le voit sur la photo. L'article correspond également à mes exigences en matière de sécurité : c'est du solide ! Le verrou ferme parfaitement bien, et la hanse n'est pas sur le dessus, contrairement à mon ancien panier de transport, mais sur les côtés ; ainsi, aucun risque qu'elle lâche et que le panier s'ouvre (c'était toujours ma crainte avec mon ancien panier... mon chat étant assez lourd !) Facile à nettoyer ; visiblement confortable puisque ma minette va parfois y faire la sieste dans la journée. Bref, j'ai moins de scrupule et de crainte à la faire voyager avec moi.

Questo, dopo diversi tentativi è certamente il migliore!Finalmente il trasportino "giusto". Robusto, ben costruito, facile da maneggiare /trasportare/aprire e chiudere. Pur essendo interamente in plastica è arrivato completamente inodore. Il mio gattone di quasi otto chili ci sta davvero comodo e, volendo, si può mettere sul fondo un cuscino. (Tuttavia il fondo è antiscivolo e il cuscino secondo me non è strettamente necessario per brevi spostamenti, come per la visita dal veterinario ; può essere utile per viaggi più lunghi). Si lava in un attimo, dentro e fuori è si può igienizzare facilmente. Ottimo il manico che fa presa al corpo del trasportino invece che al coperchio e ha forma e dimensione che rendono il trasporto agevole anche con un "dolce peso" come quello del mio gatto. Inoltre l'apertura dall'alto, molto ampia, rende semplicissima l'introduzione del micio, pur recalcitrante, come mai prima d'ora. Consigliatissimo!!! Vale assolutamente il prezzo pagato, considerando che, oltre alla praticità indiscutibile, è anche esteticamente piacevole e originale.
