Works well but occasionally gives a false reading, so check multiple times.

Extremly difficult to use and found to be not very accurate. In fact it is so inaccurate, that even when it find the beam or cable, or tells you are clear of beams or cables, you find it hard to trust.

I tested it on my wall as you can see in the video and detects the things very accuratelyIt has different modes to check for different things.In the beginning it was a little confusing for me to use/understand but the instructions were good enough to gradually make sense of everything and now i am able to use it perfectly fineVery good price and product for anyone to have at home and can come in handy all the time.

Good value for money does the job and easily finds the stud/electrics and metal in the walls.

This has worked very well for me for identifying stud in old lime and lath walls. Appears very accurate and a very useful tool. A bit more expensive than some Chinese non branded versions but I always think worx tools are decent quality. I would recommend it.

I was very much looking forward to getting my hands on this. I had a small project for which a stud scanner / detector was needed.Sadly this does not work. At all.... It does not detect studs correctly. I had an open partition wall where studs were exposed on 1 side, it detected 1 some 10cm off where it actually was and then with a confirmed detection carried on through the width of the whole wall as if it was all wood. It wasn't... The device was flat on the surface all the time. You can wriggle it a bit and lift 1mm leftor right off the surface and this changes readings drastically. Then when you press it back flat on the surface it goes to either showing 100% centre of detected stud (regardless of whether you actually have a stud behind or not) or nothing at all. It detected studs all over concrete / block wall. Like seriously? Then I restarted it and put it directly on a flat horizontal wooden stair rail. Literally a plank of wood. It did not detect it correctly stating the object is to the right or left.... Started moving in direction as suggested to get to the centre of the object (it was already above the centre of the wooden object but never mind) and it lost it completely showing nothing. With each surface when the readings started being funny the device was reset and recalibrated. To start afresh. In all cases it failed miserably. I shall add the battery was fully charged and the device was new straight from the original box after adoption to the room temperature.Summarising - it is a joke of a detector. Looks nice though. Maybe my unit was just faulty from the start...
