I got this to move a light switch from where the builder had put it 4 foot inside the room on the wrong side of the door (thanks Barrett) to at the door entry. I had costed out my materials to do it with running cabling and fishing the wiring up and down the walls cavity's, that came out to about £12ish then there was the time it would have taken me, best guess there was that it would have been about 4 hours hitting no snags (I never hit no snags), plus the decorating. And then I saw this and thought it was worth a shot and I am so glad I did. Start to finish including mounting the switch by screws was under 40 minutes and to be honest a good part of that was me reading and re-reading the instructions because I did not believe it could be that easy and was sure I must have missed something. I could do another start to finish in under 15 minutes now knowing what I'm doing. Very straight forward, seems to work well. Good install kit that comes with. I put the receiver in the metal back box of the light switch, tight depth wise, but fitted okay. Paring took seconds. I would say if your screw mounting the switch to use either the screws that came with the unit or if you go with your own watch the head size so they do not deform the rocker mount of the switch. You are supplied with a 3M adhesive pad if you want to use that. Hopefully it's one of these things I can now forget about for years. If anything goes amiss over time I'll post back but for now I'm one very happy and non sweaty person.

I have used this remote switch to control some garden lighting which previously I would have had to go outside to switch on and off. I have used this type of switch before but they are relatively expensive so when I saw the Acegoo Wireless switch at nearly half the price of other switches I was a little sceptical. I didnt neen to be. The switch was as good a quality as the switches I'd used before and had easy to follow installation instructions. It's now been working flawlessly for a few weeks and I am really impressed. I would not have bought this product from anywhere other than Amazon who back up their sales process with first class customer support.

I'm delighted with this wireless light switch - it's just what I needed, works perfectly and seems to be of good quality. I was slightly worried when I opened the package as it is made in China and the instructions are not translated perfectly. Nevertheless all the necessary information is included to wire this up and get it working without any problems. Once you've connected everything up in accordance with the wiring diagram you just hold down the button on the receiver for a few seconds until the light flashes, press the light switch once to pair them and that's it. It stays paired even if you subsequently switch off the power supply to the receiver. The self-powered light switch is a real benefit - no need to fit fiddly batteries and it has a reassuringly solid feel to it.

I bought this to control a lamp circuit in our living room as it was annoying to have to get up to turn the light switch off when settling down to watch a film (I know, first world problem...). I decided a wifi switch was unnecessary as I wanted to switch the lamps off from the sofa, not Myanmar. The Acegoo is nicely packaged and easy to wire in and install but doesn't quite do what I want it to do hence four stars. I wanted to fit it inside the back box behind the main light switch. Thankfully it did fit (snugly) inside my back box with no need for further enlarging. I am in the UK so my light switch did not have a neutral, just a brown live into L1 and a red live wire into COM. The neutrals were there however, just wired together in a chocolate block and not in the switch. I wired the neutrals to the neutral of the Acegoo and then brown to brown and red to red. You then pair the switch to the receiver which is easy. The device works very well but the downside (hence the 4 stars) is because it means the light switch will not work properly anymore and I wanted it to still work as well as the Acegoo. I wired in the light switch on the live wire but the problem is that when you switch the light switch off, the Acegoo goes off as it loses power. Therefore, when you next turn on the switch, the lights do not come on as the Acegoo is off and needs activating from the wireless switch. Time will tell how annoying / confusing this is... It would be good if it stayed in the 'on' state when it lost power.

Brilliant little device, just does what it says, and child's play to set up. Really clever to make the entire thing battery free, including the remote switch. Still not quite sure how they've managed to do that. Why can't they do that to TV remotes, video game controllers, etc? Particularly useful for things like outdoor lights if like mine they are plugged into an external socket on the outside of the house. Though be careful to wire in the round receiver part in front of any in-line transformers, which many outdoor lights have. So in other words wire in the receiver on the closest stretch of wire to the mains plug itself, in between the plug and the transformer. If you try (as I did initially) to wire it in on the section of wire between the transformer and the lights, the transformed current is not the correct power to operate the receiver. One tiny tiny point - ever so slightly annoying that they've put what looks exactly like an LED indicator on the light switch unit, but it is in fact not a light at all, but just a 'marker' so you know which side you are pressing. Why bother? You know which side you're pressing as, presumably, your lights will either go on, or off according to which side you press! Anyway, small point and I liked this gizmo so much I am now ordering another one so I can switch on the garden shed light from inside the house.
