Excellent value !!
Set up was easy using the Camhi app available on the play store, despite the supplied instructions being very poor. The image quality exceeded my expectations for a PTZ camera in this price range. The 4x zoom function is smooth and quick and allows you to read a car registration number from across the road. It is also possible to install an external microphone as shown in the picture. I'm so impressed with this camera that I am considering buying another!

For the price, this is an acceptable overview camera for monitoring your property.
I would preface this review by reminding myself and others of the price point of this camera. £85. You can't expect an amazingly well engineering product for this price, however I am very impressed with what you get - a reasonably good overview camera which you can Pan, Tilt and Zoom! I went for the 720 rather than 1080 because I want to stream it live and felt that 720 would give sufficient resolution, but be less bandwidth hungry for livestreaming. This works acceptably for me livestreaming over a 4G connection to my iphone. I also liked the discreet look of the 720 as the front of the 1080 really draws unwanted attention. I also removed the wifi antenna from the housing and hid it behind the wall mount arm - you could drill a 20mm hole in the wall to achieve a similar result. This makes the unit even more streamlined and it doesn't then shout out that its a wifi camera.KKmoon have a great product here, but they could make it even better with a few minor changes. I have the camera set to 24/7 recording with three minute clip length. Adding a "download clip" option to the kkmoon app rather than relying on playing clips over the internet would be an amazing improvement. It would also mean you can keep a clip safe on your phone, rather than risk damage or loss if the SD card was corrupted or damaged. This is a particular problem as some of the video clips will not stream for me- they just display a blank white screen when viewed over the app. I've tried rebooting the camera, but the problem remained. I've also used the Android app and the issue is the same. That is another reason to go with shorter 3 minute segments rather than longer files. When the clips do stream back over 4g/wifi, they can be a little jerky, but overall acceptable for most domestic use.Overall, I am really pleased with this. For me, this is probably a short term solution while I decide to invest in a higher spec PTZ camera with better waterproofing, higher zoom and better pan/tilt resolution. If you have a property or something to view over the internet, this is probably the cheapest PTZ external camera you could buy. At the price, for me it was a bit of a punt, and it's worked out ok. I just hope they keep making improvements to the app to keep it updated.I've never owned an external ptz camera before and one thing I've noticed with this camera is how coarse the movement is. When you pan across, depending on the zoom level, you could be panning many metres. This is rather a shame as the mechanism appears to use stepper motors. Given the distance of travel is so slight, I am surprise they haven't implemented a finer, slower movement.UPDATE: Jan18. I have been using this camera now for just over 6 months and still remain impressed with the capability for the price. KKMOON have also updated the IOS App. They've included an option to download video clips to the device. This makes it easy to scroll through footage to find what you are looking for. They haven't changed the sensitivity/speed of the PTZ motors, so there still isn't the same level of control as with the WEB App.

... up on New Year’s Eve and it’s been working fine ever since
Put this camera up on New Year’s Eve and it’s been working fine ever since. This is the sixth or seventh IP camera I’ve set up and must say this has been the easiest one and was up and running in 10 minutes.Only one little niggle is the software sometimes reverts back to Chinese and the only way to get it back in English is to delete the browser address and set the camera IP address again.Update: Just a quick review of my review and just to say my camera literality ground to halt after about 5 months.Had some big downpours and assume water got into the mechanics somewhere along the line or the cogs where not greased properly. It’s been binned now and I’m using fixed focus static IP cameras that seem to last longer but are unfortunately less usable panning wise but more reliable.

Pleased with the camera, operation and images. Manual of typical low standard.
I was fortunate to have a close relative who has one of these, to help me set up the camera up, and knows his stuff. That was just as well as I couldn't open the disc on my Mac, and the manual that came with it was otherwise not much use. Perhaps would have been simpler to follow the disc instructions, but guess work better on a Windows PC. Putting the sd card in requires taking the inner cover off, which were it not for tiny screws would have been easy. Setting up with the router as OK. It's a solid piece of kit and for the price was good value. The power lead is quite short, too short in my view, and needs an extension splicing in or a power extension lead to reach it. I was very pleased with the quality of the images and it's far better than what I had and gives very good coverage. Setting up zones is easy as to using the app you download for mobile usage. Using other functions, such as email alerts takes a bit of thought, and manual no real help, and plenty of directions probably on the Internet. Overall I'm pleased with the camera and am considering getting another.
