Book
This book is a fantastic resource for Year 4 students. The reading passages are interesting and age-appropriate, and the questions really help build comprehension skills. Itโs well-structured, easy to follow, and great for both classroom use and home practice. My child enjoys working through it and has shown noticeable improvement. A must-have for parents and teachers looking to support literacy development!

Great for at home
This comprehension workbook is great for at home. The questions are clear and gives a variety of text-types as examples. I would say that some of the fiction texts arenโt as easy to answer unless you know the full story already because it doesnโt explain what is going on in the book prior to the excerpt that you read for questioning i.e. the Peter Pan excerpt starts mid-conversation when he has arrived at the Darlingโs and is trying to encourage the children to go with him to Neverland. The questions ask the reader about how he attempts to โlure themโ to Neverland but the excerpt doesnโt include the context for why Peter is at the house, making it confusing for the reader and necessary for a helper to explain the context. All in all, you canโt fault CGP workbooks, but this is something Iโd bare in mind.

Super resource.
Contains fifteen texts (fiction/non-fiction) in a variety of fonts (and font sizes) that get progressively harder. I use this with a student I tutor and it has been helpful for identifying potential issues with her reading and her sight. The questions are clear and easy to understand and in a logical order. If, as I do, I don't allow the answers to be written in the gaps, then it's a resource to re-use over and over! I'm actually Secondary trained so to see what a year four student is supposed to be able to do was certainly an eye opener!
