Very sturdy and so easy to fit. We purchased this to replace a very flimsy and unsafe loft ladder that was in our home on purchase. This was one of those "Must get around to replacing" jobs that just seemed to get put off, we got this one as it was a good price and certainly seemed to be suitable. No issues at all, arrived well packaged and had it together in no time following the instructions, overall a very good loft ladder that I am sure will be in this house long after we are gone.

I spent some time reviewing available products before selecting this one. This time spent was very interesting reading so many product reviews from so many customers. Focusing on this product and following successful installation I must say I am very satisfied and would recommend this ladder unequivocally. The ladder is extremely well engineered and manufactured, the instructions were comprehensive and easily followed, the only comment I would make was the cardboard end protection of the packaging was a bit light weight and whilst my ladder was delivered ok, I can recognise why other customers may have had issues. My research was essential as my loft has a max height of 1100cm with a glazed hatch, 120cm x 90cm. I therefore had to select a ladder which would function in this restricted loft height AND not be extending over the glazed hatch and restrict the light coming into the hall. The floor to loft floor height was 2400cm this meant with the 65-80 degree angle of the ladder in situ' the top of the ladder extended into the loft a full rung more than that shown in the instructions. The outcome of this meant the 2 x retaining bars could not be fitted into the pre drilled holes at the top of the ladder - solution was to drill new holes further down the ladder, 22cm from top. Result was an overhang of 35cm of the ladder legs which through the frosted glass is barely noticeable - all in all a good compromise as I now have a loft ladder which both stores and deploys with ease using the pole provided. The catches clip solidly in place and are easy to visually check. I am 5' 11'' and 13 stone and the ladder supports me with no strain to this 3 section ladder at any of the cross over points or the pivot bar. My wife is 5' 3'' and she can deploy and store the ladder, albeit with a little bit of anxiety around pulling it on her head - I have told her to practice ! Finally, for those customers who gave this product a bad review, I am of the opinion they are not competent in DIY or are of a disparate nature or both.

All looked great, easy to fit and good instructions (for once). However, not as solid as I expected. Works fine…note to self, don’t put on any weight.

Appears to be a good sturdy product, easy to fit etc but mine arrived badly damaged by courier in transit.

This came quickly in decent packaging. When I finally came to fit it, it had no instructions. Luckily the supplier seems to be open 7 days a week. I phoned them and within an hour I had *some* instructions for a 2/3 section aluminium ladder, but the instructions were fairly different to my ladder. We managed to fit it, but having accurate instructions wouild've been useful. Also having two people is best. The price is good. The strength and rigidity is good. I'm 100Kg and the ladder doesn't creak or flex at all. The handrail, latches and fittings are of decent quality. 7 days a week opening from the supplier is handy. Overall, a good ladder, shame about the instructions.

It seems I have been allowed more space to comment, I had an end cap missing on delivery, but after a phone call to BPS, a replacement was sent by return post, so a good company to deal with. Apart from that, I had everything in the kit as specified, to do the job.The hardest part for me was modifying the existing hatchway. I needed all new frame and architrave. If you measure the hatch door exactly to the opening remember to rebate the hinges into the door and the surround frame, otherwise if fitted as per instructions, you will get a noticable gap at the hinge end, and the door won't fit. I allowed a 1mm tolerence off the door all round to ensure it doesn't bind when you come to close the door.The ladder is quite robust and operates well. The slider bar and fixing brackets took a bit of trial and error to get right, as my first fixing was too high up the ladder and it wouldn't retract through the hatchway. One tip here is to put one screw in the fixing brackets just to test if when all folded up, it goes through the hatchway without snagging. you can fix all screws after that to be more secure. Lastly, my floor to top of ceiling joist was 2390mm which meant the two side stays were too short. I discarded these and arranged a piece of carpet in the loft for the ladder to rest on when retracted. As long as you arrange the spacers on the slider close to the the sides of the ladder, it will hinge quite smoothly into your loft space.This hasn't affected the operation or stability of my ladder, but I may try to make my own modified stay in due course. All in all a good product from a good company at a very good price.

Taylor wimpy 3 bed house, grand fit easy as pie to install just requires a piece of 3x2 or something to put in an extra baton to fit the metal L brackets to , if it doesn’t line up with the current ones in place .. easy enough tho

Returned as two slim. Had to chase cpl of times re returned to get refund. But got it. Nice item check size thou

Nach jahrelanger Suche bin ich tatsächlich fündig geworden. Auf Grund eines Fehlers wurde in unserem Haus lediglich eine revesionsklappe verbaut und diese auch noch ohne Leiter. Im Regelfall wird bei solchen eine Scherentreppe verbaut, diese kosten allerdings mehrere hundert Euro. Ich habe seit dem immer wieder nach Alternativen gesucht und endlich diese Leiter gefunden. Da allerdings nur eine Längen Angabe und keine wirkliche Breite zu finden sind, habe ich sie auf gut Glück gekauft. Passt einwandfrei, allerdings musste ich sie auf Grund unseres Bodens und der Klappenöffnung noch etwas kürzen da der dritte Auszug ein Stück länger ist. Ich kann die Leiter bei wenig Platz sehr empfehlen und man spart viel Geld.

Ist gut hätte da noch eine Vorschlag die Riegel auf beiden Seiten der Bodentreppe anbringen.
