The autoglym brand has been a good brand for years, but I've often been put off by the prices. In this instance I desperately needed a quality product after a 5 hour drive to Norfolk during a heatwave, a week driving around Norfolk then a 5 hour drive back. Our white car had so many insect remains splattered about that you'd think someone had used a spray gun on it. The instructions on the bottle say spray on and leave for 30 seconds then wipe off. I tried this ..... BINGO it works brilliantly.

Absolutely excellent products and does exactly what it says. With a white car and hundreds of dead bloody insect bodies on front of it, a quick skoosh with the product and less than a minute later, the debris was easily rubbed off with a wet cloth. Not the cheapest, but it merits the price when you see the end result. Highly recommended.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Just completed a 400 mile drive along French motorways. Windscreen obliterated with bugs. Sprayed on this insect cleaner, agitated with soft brush, left a couple of minutes then rinsed off. Screen clear. Excellent product. Always have some in the car when travelling any distance.

Works well, but make sure you let it soak. Also loosens bird poo!

So so - lots of elbow grease still required to remove the insects. Smells nice.

As the one star reviewer claims this does nothing to dissolve dried flies no matter how long you leave it on, I'd like point out that it's not meant to "dissolve" if it was then it would be an acid which in turn would damage the car. I use a jet spray and have washed numerous cars over the years and can attest then when using this insect and other things usually come clean off when left for about 5/10 minutes then jet sprayed. Without using it, even the jet spray won't shift them clean off. Maybe they haven't used enough? Not sure but I can vouch for it. It's not that cheap for the quantity but thankfully the flies and bugs are only really an issue in the warmer months so it's not too bad. I'd recommend it but if you're expecting it to dissolve bugs then it won't as it's not meant to.
