Amazing Headphones
Amazing sound quality from the headphones, very stable in the ear and has an extra protective layer where the wire bends over your ear. Had plenty of wires splitting at that point so very good design point. It seems quieter than previous RHA headphones I have owned so some background sounds can be heard but the overall sound quality compensates for that.

Perfect Hi-Res earphones for the LG G7 ThinQ phone
The LG G7 ThinQ has a built-in Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The DAC activates when a WIRED headphone of 50 Ohms or more of impedance (Max 300 Ohms) is connected to the phone's headphone jack. Any less, and the DAC will get bypassed. Having tried a few wired earphones and headphones mostly of 16 Ohms impedance I wanted to get a high impedance earphones to experience the real audio from LG's DAC. I found the RHA CL750 at £55 on RHAs own website during the Black Friday deal, and thought of giving it a try. I won't hesitate in admitting that it's the best pair of earphones I now own. The sound stage is wide, the instrument separation precise and overall a very pristine sound. I was not expecting the single dynamic driver in each earphone to drive the sound this exceptionally well. The guitars and piano notes sound very realistic and absolutely clear when Hi-Res FLAC or AIFF file formats (96/24 or 192/24) are played. The vocals are very engaging and Neil Diamond never sounded so good before. It has just the necessary base without overpowering and very clear and flat mids. I find the highs a tad bit higher than the mids but its not overly bright to cause fatigue. I use the 'USB Audio Player Pro' app to play Hi-Res audio on the phone. It's solidly built and supplied with a dozen or so earbuds. I used the Comply one that comes supplied with it and is the best fit for me. The cable is thick and long enough to be safe and not be a hindrance during public transport journeys. The plug is gold plated and feels very high quality. Once seated in the ears properly there is no cable friction noise which I'm very pleased about. The Settings I used on my G7 to match the CL750:1. Go to Settings -> Sound -> Sound Quality and Effects -> Turn OFF the DTS:X 3D Surround (I found this too empowering and artificial for music. Works better with movies)2. The Hi-Fi Quad DAC option should already be on. If not, turn it on.3. Click on Sound Preset and choose Normal.4. Select Digital Filter and set to Short (I felt this was the most natural sounding).5. Bring the volume to 40% and let the earphones warm up a bit :)I have used a variety of Hi-Res albums across many genres. No, MP3 320kbps doesn't count as Hi-Res. It should be a proper HD Tracks DSD or PCM album to get the best out of this combination. If you have an LG G7 and enjoy Hi-Res music, and need quality AND convenience then these earphones are a must have. Remember these are HIGH IMPEDANCE 150 OHM earphones. They will NOT work without a DAC (Built into the G7) or a separate headphone Amp. With a 3 year manufacturer warranty, I highly recommended owning one.
