This was purchased to connect an iMac to an addition Display Monitor, so that multiple website could be opened at the same time, with one (or more) being viewed on the original display of the iMac, and another being viewed on the additional display. This relatively inexpensive item did the trick perfectly. It arrived quickly via Amazon Prime, (because fulfilment is via Amazon) - a critical part of my decision making process, when considering a purchase like this. All in all, excellent!

I have only tested the product so far.The product came in a plastic bag and was wrapped in film plastic (protected enough for the product I think) the product is a very high quality plastic and has gold plated connectors on both ends but doesn't have a audio out like a few other products on the market.I was sceptical that it would not work for my use case but so far it works on a 1080p 60hz display, I have not tried a higher resolution due to not having a better display, but it works and allows me to output VGA from the mini-displayport on my laptop since ASUS decided not to add the port.If you are looking for a easy way to adapt a video connection from Mini display-port to VGA for an older display (example office projector) then this is a good option,If you want additional features such as audio or more than one output to DVI or HDMI then this is not the product for you.

Does exactly what you would expect, for a fraction of the cost of some sold in the Apple store. Keep in mind that you can't use any type of converter when using this with an Apple device (e.g. add a VGA to DVI converter to the chain) as Apple do not allow it. I found this as I had previously bought a Mini Display Port to DVI adapter with the intention of using a DVI to VGA converter in the interim before upgrading my monitor but found that it wouldn't work.

I needed an adapter to attach my surface pro 3 to an old vga monitor.This plugs right into the side of the sp3 and then you plug the monitor cable into it.This allowed me to have two screens on the go, or you can prefer to switch to just the monitor.Item was sturdy and well put together.Great product. Good price, fast delivery.

It allows me to link an otherwise redundant 1920x1080 PC screen on the wall above my 27" iMac. It might seem overkill, but it isn't. The manner in which Macs handle extra screens and their 'placement' is delightfully simple. So plonking open apps up where I can see them but don't need to have my eye on them at all times is a real boon.Example: I have a webcam on my dogs downstairs. The picture is on the extra screen while I work using the main screen. No need to break off from what I am doing to have a look at how they are behaving (or not!).

Fantastic value and build quality. I tried it with a DELL monitor and EPSON projector and it worked perfectly without problems. It was an urgent item and 1/6th the price of the Apple equivalent, so I tried Same Day Delivery, and I promptly received it just after 6pm. Very impressed!

Worked really well to connect at late 2012 Mac mini to an old VGA monitor. This is needed because the HDMI input on Apple devices beyond this period is fully digital meaning a HDMI-VGA adaptor won't work, as I found out the hard way.

Works so far. Purchased because I left the apple genuine version on my desk on campus and needed one for a public talk. It worked exactly as required and feels almost as good as the genuine one. If it lasts half a dozen uses it’s well worth it against running the risk of losing the much more expensive Apple version.

This device allows you to connect a VGA - equipped monitor to a more up-to-date computer without a VGA port.

This is so temperamental, it works about 20% of the time. Do you want that when delivering a presentation / lesson? I’ve been there, the answer is NO!AVOID.

Liked it ,wanted to put Mac on to old tv for a bit of karaoke worked great

This did not fit any of the ports on my iMac although the description says it does - plug and play!!

Excellent little piece of kit - so easy to add an additional screen to the iMac and a fraction of the cost compared to the apple version - very happy with purchase
