Grohe-best faucets ever! Solid brass fittings
Our plumber recommended we look into a Grohe faucet for our new kitchen sink. Grohe is a German brand. Plumber warned Grohe faucets were very expensive, but said you can't go wrong with Grohe as Grohe is the only faucet manufacturer he knows of that still makes an all brass fittings faucet--he said others brands now use plastic parts inside. I found this faucet on Amazon at less than half the suggested retail price. This faucet is amazing! Durably built and yes, it really does have solid brass fittings. The handle operates smoothly, and the pull down nozzle is easy to use. After we installed this faucet we spent two weeks vacation in a hotel suite that had the full line of Concetto faucets--kitchen, bathtub, bathroom sink, and bar sink--and were impressed with how reliably they operated all day every day for our family. We'll soon be upgrading our bathrooms to Grohe faucets.

Sleek look
Beautiful faucet, love having it in our kitchen! That said, there are a few items that have been less than ideal. I originally unpackaged the item myself, thinking that I could assemble it and leave it out for the contractor to install....totally wrong, the directions are terrible. They figured it out, somehow, I assume they are used to this kind of thing. Not for a novice. The look is awesome, the functionality is good. Called Grohe regarding the major splashing issues from water flowing without aeration and they shipped us a free aerator...just a tiny 1/2" piece. Again, no directions, so I have absolutely no idea how to install the thing and will need to wait till hiring a handyman to add to the list of items. Other than that the sprayer is a bit hard to pull down but I think the line may have gotten twisted during installation? It does not retract on its own, I have to push it back in. None of these items are severe enough issues that would prevent me from purchasing this item again because it is so darn beautiful!

Laminar flow is interesting...
Nice, solid, east-to-install faucet. The laminar flow is a bit difficult to get used to, particularly after decades of experience with aerated flow. However, if one really wants aerated flow, the spray feature is close to aerated, and the spray stays on until the flow is turned off. Don't forget to put the O-ring between faucet & countertop -- and white double-ring spring stop on the hose prior to sliding on the spring -- and above other end of spring. The diagram isn't as clear as it might be.

Update: DO NOT BUY FROM GROHE. The WORST customer service out there in faucets.
There are many things about this faucet that are a plus. The fact that it is an all metal construction with no flimsy plastic parts on the outside to break in 2 months like so many other faucets on the market these days is great. I had no issues with the installation and the hose comes out to a full 18 inches. It does not spring back but that is not in the design details so I didn't expect that, like others here are reporting. It clicks back to its place very easily by hand. The minimal design is what drew me to this and I love the one lever design and no faceplate. Exactly what I was looking for. There is an obvious amount of design and technology that went into this faucet which is a joy to see in this day and age instead of the usual planned obsolescence, intentionally designed for items to be disposable in no time at all in order for the consumer to spend more of their hard earned money for the sake of corporate profit margins alone. Not to mention the harm this is doing to our fragile environment. For those who are commenting about having to shut off the water to stop the aerator as being a problem for them, this also is the correct design and I find no issue with that as well. It works as designed. Better to work than not work in my opinion. My one issue with this is the water pressure that is being concentrated in such a small area. It is a very small stream in diameter and the splashing involved was out of control until I experimented a little. Splashing would occur towards the back wall of the sink causing pooling at the seam where the wall tiles meet the counter top, but no splashing at the sides or the front. Very peculiar. For some reason, when in aerator mode, the stream is obviously wider and more forceful and does not splash at all. Only when I reduced the water flow from under the sink for both the hot and cold valves did the splashing stop altogether, but obviously the water pressure is slight reduced for washing needs, but I have become accustomed to this by now and is really not a problem.I would suggest this tip to all those that are experiencing the same problem as I had. I have had this installed now for 6 months and would highly recommend it but be prepared to do some experimenting! There have been no other issues so far.UPDATE:After two hoses have failed on me and 4 plumber's bills later, this will be tossed into the recycling bin.Grohe's customer service is a sad state of affairs. Talks with representatives don't go anywhere since they refuse to put a ticket in for you, you MUST do this on their website and they don't tell you this over the phone. After writing a letter to corporate about this, I still have no response from Grohe. This second hose has started leaking after 1 month of having it installed. And this after waiting 6 weeks for it to arrive. I'm wondering if the CEO of Grohe can go without a kitchen sink for 6 weeks? Nice warranty they give you here. I will not call Grohe again and get the run around from people who refuse to do their jobs.I will never buy another Grohe product EVER.

Love it!
This brand is tough find in all of the "traditional" stores, so it was a good find on Amazon. The price was excellent and the product itself is of the highest quality. Delivery was very quick. It looks great in our new kitchen.

Very nice faucet. Extension is a bit odd in that it needs a slight twist to go back in the neck all the way, but that's our only complaint. The stream of water is surprisingly strong and compact - we initially thought there was something wrong with the faucet as we expected to see more pressure, but it's there, just in a very smooth jet.

great value
best price for this quality faucet; my plumber (who installed it) said he has never seen one fail. Water flow is moderate due to aerator, but I like it as it is smooth and does not splash all over the place. Would recommend
