Philips Hue Being White Ambiance Smart Ceiling Light LED [GU10] with Dimmer Switch, Black, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit [Energy Class A+]

I have recently installed this just a few days ago, but when I first looked at it after I opened it I was quite disappointed with the manufacture and quality of it. I thought it was quite cheap looking, compared with similar ones I have installed in my home, and it was at first very fiddly to do.it has to be drilled and raw plugged to the ceiling and if you don't get the joists first time, chances are you will have to re-drill and try to cover up the holes with light fitment and fill them. Not an easy task to begin with, as you have to keep feeding the cables from the ceiling through the fitment each time.You have to completely disassemble the fitment to put it up, and if you forget to put the middle screw support with self tightening washer and nut back on, you're left having to take it back off the ceiling to put them back on. Not easily explained in the instructions. The rest of it spins onto the spindle and tightens up. It looks great once it is up.The light settings on the light are great. Reading, Energize, Relax, Concentrate. The remote is simple yet very effective and can also be hung on the wall like a dimmer switch, but detachable because it's magnetic from the backing plate. It's bright enough for the average (15' x 15') room approximately, but that is only my estimate.It's compatible with Philips Hue but as I only installed mine a few days ago I haven't set it up with Hue yet, so I will probably add a further update when I have. But I do have other lights on the Hue and I don't have any problems with them.

My front door lights were in need of a replacement, and having got a few Hue smart light bulbs in the house, this seemed like a good next thing to get.I initially decided to buy just the one for my hallway to see how good it was and if it was bright enough, I'm happy to say I was pleased with it that I ended up getting a second one for the other end of my entrance hallway.It is a little pricey, as many Hue products can be, but the level of warm to cool white is really good and the ability to go from super dim to brilliant bright is perfect (although I have learnt to not have my light on 100% brightness when I open the front door as it can be a little too bright from walking in from the dark).Installing the light is a bit difficult and will ideally require a second person to assist you to make it much easier, but thankfully once it's installed you shouldn't need to worry about it again (so not so bad just something to be aware of).The wireless remotes are really good, I didn't think I'd end up using them, but ultimately ended up pairing it with some other Hue smart bulbs I had in the house where I needed them, they're super fast responsive and get used all the time in the rooms they're now connected to.Overall, really happy with it and the first test purchase and my happiness with it meant a second one was ordered not long later (when I could afford it)

WoW love this light I used it as a wall light, I’m buying another for opposite side of the room in my lounge. It’s sturdy made of metal and plastic shade with metal band around the edge the front circle ya also metal. Looks fab on the wall. I have loads of hue colour and lifx in my lounge all colour ones but I wanted white ambiance for the walls. I have two dimmers side by side which are fitted to the switch cover plates by samotech. If your considering buying this don’t hesitate it’s defiantly superior to the all white version in my imo. And who says it needs to go on the ceiling. It looks equally as good as a wall light.

I recently installed the ‘Being’ ceiling light and thought I’d share my thoughts.It’s a clamshell construction, the top (hidden) metal plate housing what struck me as pretty much a lightstrip that runs around the inner rim. This top plate is perforated and fitted with diffusers and stands off from the ceiling by about 1cm thus illuminating the ceiling too.The lower part of the fitting comprises a frame fitted with diffusers that allow light through the sides and bottom, the whole being held together with a nice brushed anodised aluminium plate with a threaded centre which you unscrew to open the fitting.Other reviewers have commented on the construction being flimsy but I’m quite pleased with what I found. Since I was replacing a traditional hanging pendant I left the ceiling rose, removed the cover so leaving the ceiling mounted wired terminals and simply stood the Phillips fitting off slightly more than is intended to just clear the 15mm or so of the rose. Three 30 cm new wires L,N & E were all that was required to link the rose terminals to the interior terminals of the fitting.As supplied, it comes with a Hue dimmer switch with which it is already paired. I added the fitting to my Hue App but I had to enter the serial number which is inside the fitting.In use I find its brightness adequate for my 2m x 3m room. Larger rooms may require two. It’s very controllable, dimming to almost nothing, and the full bright cool white is ‘energising’.Sceptical, I was careful to keep all packing ready for it to be returned but I have to say I like it a lot. Mine was the silver option - there are others.

Ich habe mir diese Lampe für mein Homeoffice gekauft, welches ca. 20m² groß ist.Meiner Ansicht nach macht diese Lampe ganz tolles Licht. Die verschiedenen Lichtfarben sind klasse, wobei ich aber meistens die "warme" Einstellung in gedimmter Form nutze.Tolle Ausleuchtung, kein Flackern oder Ähnliches. Mega Licht!Die Installation ist sehr unkompliziert, sofern man fähig ist, ein paar Schrauben inkl. Dübel anzubringen. Ich meine, es waren jeweils 3. Die sollte man allerdings parat haben, da sie nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind.Für mich ist es die erste Hue, und ich habe bislang noch keine Bridge angeschafft (werde ich aber vermutlich noch tun).Falls man die Lampe über den normalen Lichtschalter aktiviert (mache ich so, weil ich bisher einfach zu faul war, die mitgelieferte Fernbedienung in der Nähe des eigentlichen Lichtschalters an der Wand anzubringen. Ist ne Kleinigkeit, der Halter dafür hat Klebestreifen, Magneten und Löcher für Schrauben, aber halt... faul), muss man damit leben, dass sich die Lampe die zuletzt verwendete Einstellung nicht merken kann.Vermutlich wird die letzte Einstellung beibehalten, wenn man das Teil nur über den mitgelieferten Schalter bedient und den Hauptschalter immer anlässt. Mich stört's aber gar nicht und das soll auch nicht als Negativpunkt verstanden werden.Ich bin super zufrieden mit dem Ding!Man sollte sich aber im Klaren darüber sein, was man damit beleuchten will. Wer das Teil an seine 4m hohe Decke im 60m² großen Wohnzimmer hängt und das Ding als einzige Lichtquelle verwenden will, sollte sich nach etwas leistungsstärkerem umsehen, dafür ist die Lampe sicher nicht vorgesehen.

A dicembre 2017 ho comprato il "fratello maggiore" HUE FAIR.Non vi nascondo che il FAIR non e' facilissimo montarlo ed e' abbastanza pesante (anche se ho fatto tutto da solo). Per questo prodotto mi aspettavo la stessa difficolta' ma sono rimasto sorpreso visto che i collegamenti con l'alimentazione di rete a differenza del FAIR sono gia' posti sul davanti (NB non sul retro).MI raccomando, vedete bene le dimensioni reali del prodotto.Il prodotto funziona egregiamente e ha aumentato il numero di corpi illuminanti HUE gia' disponibili a casa.La costruzione e' in materiale plastico, quindi il corpo illuminante e' molto leggero. Ma installato su un soffitto di 3mt non da l'aria di essere plasticoso e/o cheap. Telecomando wifi incluso.Imballaggio perfetto e spedizione entro i termini.Consigliato a chi ha gia' un impianto di illuminazione basato su HUE (quindi con il bridge).

Bene, facile da montare, interagisce bene con il bridge e il telecomando in dotazione, unica pecca i materiali plasticosi, un pó troppo poco visto il costo, ma nel complesso funziona bene, luminosità perfetta nella mia stanza, consigliato

Installé dans mon salon, possibilité de le régler via l’application, Alexa Google où Siri. Fait le job. J’adore son look
