Trimmers by WAHL Lithium Ion Blitz 3-in-1 Beard Trimmer

Got it today, my first Wahl ever. The truth is I haven't tried it yet, but given the overexcited reviews I'm reading about, I expect it to work no less than flawlessly. For one thing I expect it to last longer than my last 4 equally-priced trimmers (2 Philips, 2 Brauns), which would always break down after 3 years at most.- Even so, I'll give it 5 stars (but keep reading, it'll get interesting).- Its' size is much smaller than the usual compact beard Philips/PanasonicBraun/etc trimmers, which will make it much easier to control while shaving.- Lots of different components which is always a good thing, although I doubt I'll be using more than 3-4 of them.- It even contains a trimming scissors.- To be honest the quality of the accessories seems so-so. They're from thin plastic and are easily bent. I believe this is deliberate but it'll make me nervous about breaking their tips.- The small travel bag is definitely a bonus.- The stand of the trimmer looks good at first glance, but as soon as you try to place the device on it you realize it's not that sturdy. It'll do its job though (not to mention most such trimmers do not even come with a stand).So much for the device itself. Its advantages have already been described in much detail by other reviewers and happy owners. I don't want to be unfair without having even tested my new Wahl so, like I said, I'll give it 5 stars anyway.HOWEVER what I'd like to focus on is Amazon's packaging. Or the be precise the complete LACK of packaging for this parcel!I happily walked to the local post office today and asked for my parcel. I expected to see the usual hard-box packaging, taped all around with lots of stuffing material to cover the empty space. Instead I simply got the original packaging of the trimmer, exactly as if I'd bought it from the local mall! The box was even opened! There was no duct tape to close the package and secure its content, there was nothing. Just a parcel in a very bad condition as if I'd stored it in my cupboard for 5 years.I have attached an image, showing the package from all angles and the state of the inner contents in EXACTLY the way I retrieved it from the post office. Luckily all accessories were inside, nothing had been stolen and the trimmer's plastic covers were in place too. Keep in mind this was most certainly the way it was shipped by Amazon via their courier partners, because the Amazon shipping label is directly attached to the box. It's not that someone took the time to discard the outer packaging, take a look inside and then forward it to its destination. This is exactly how it was shipped from Amazon's storehouse!I am deeply disappointed by this highly unprofessional behavior.All in all my ratings are:- Wahl Lithium Blitz Beard Trimmer: 5 stars- Amazon's packaging and customer experience: 0 stars

Got this mother today, didn't expect much, what a boy this is. I had loads of trimmers, just bought a Remington and that's good. But I'm growing a goatee for winter, and haven't bothered shaving, just trimming. Realise I'd never had to shave again if I didn't want to. So thought I'd try A Wahl. I got one already, a groomsman, never used it in all the years I've had it. Found it in the cupboard charged it and forgot about it. Two months later, tried it, still charged. So I bought this, for lining up etc. Well it is surprisingly very good, and no irritation, I read other reviews so I selected a not so short trimmer attachment, not much trouble to get on, and trimmed one sideburns, now I only got one I'd better do the other. Well impressed. Used the trimmer close thing, haven't tried the foil head lark. Trimmer close thing seemed ok, but I think it would irritate my skin. All in after reading some reviews, I'm quite impressed.

I got these trimmers as recently I decided I was going to grow my beard out, however I still required to keep it styled for work. Most trimmers I could find only went up to around 15mm (my previous philips ones only going up to 9mm), which was a bit short for the style I was going for, These go up to 25mm however which give me greater control to style it as I go, the various attachments make shaping the beard easy. They cut well, only requiring one pass over and the battery life is excellent. The only two negatives I found is that they were a bit more expensive than I would have liked, however as they have fit my needs I'm happy enough with that. Lastly, the reason I deducted a star. the changing of the head attachments does not feel very fluid, it feels like you are forcing them on and off and I do worry about durability over time. They appear to connect via a ball joint, and I do wonder if the plastic it grips will stretch out leaving loose attachments, time will tell.All in all for now at least it appears to be a great beard trimmer.

Got this version for the Li battery which is lasting v. well. On its first charge after 5 weeks, and not asking to recharge yet despite a lot of use. As well as having inferior batteries the cheaper ones have some reviews mentioning reliability issues - so I really think this is worth the extra money. It does feel like quality.I have Wahl hair clippers that are well over a decade old. They look and cut as good as new. But their mains powered and it always takes a bit of mental effort to decide to get them out and use them. Now that I have this though, sitting charged in its cradle in easy reach, I find myself trimming my hair at the same time I'm doing my beard (and therefore much more often).Although it comes with just 3 attachments, many others are compatible. So I separetely bought the nose/ear trimmer, a smaller detailer and a smaller shaver head, which I'm well pleased with. (I got them cheapest direct from wahl by searching on product number as listed in the manual).So it covers every requirement one might have for a shaver/trimmer/clipper.The guards/combs go from 2-8 (the 8 being 25m and each size 3mm down to the 3, then the 2 is a 4mm drop down from the 3). Then there's shorter guide combs in 1/2, 1, 2, 3 which can be used for tapering/defining/belnding apparently (not used them yet). No other trimmer has such a wide range that I could find.Comes with a mains charger, cradle, and neat wee soft case to keep everything in.V pleased with my purchase indeed and have high hopes it'll last as long as my Wahl clippers have if I take care of the battery.
