Would these fit when your 2nd toe is longer than your big toe?

They would fit because the material stretches, but you would run the risk of making a hole in it, which is what happened to me. But I liked them so much I bought a larger pair as I also wear them in the gym with socks when I'm on holiday.

If i step in a puddle will water go inside through the bottom?

Yep it did, but after I blocked it I don't have any issues

I'd say these are suited to road running more than trail running they are very light and flexible so may not offer enough protection on trails. But are excellent shoes.

How Thick are the soles?

They feel like very thin trainers but giving you full protection and confidence. They really good.
