Fairly satisfied with this
I'm revising my review. It works flawlessly on my Kindle and works with every emulator I've tested. That being said, it doesn't work with my mac, emulators or on steam. This is best for emulators on Android, Mac does not work.

Game Like It’s 1992
The first thing I have to mention is the attention to detail to the packaging and although in the grand scheme of things this does not reflect directly on the product itself it is definitely worth a mention. As with all 8Bitdo products 8Bitdo take a lot of care is to how their products are presented to their customers. The exterior box is extremely sturdy and on the inside, contents are held firmly in place by a well-fitted foam insert.Inside the box, you have NES30 Pro Controller, Micro-USB Cable and an Anniversary Key Chain. Now on to the Pad itself. The pad is relatively small compared to most modern day controllers and comes in at 132 x 64 x 15 (mm) however it still sits well in your hands and I personally had no issues when in use, I would imagine if you have large hands this pad may not be suited to you.The pad does come with a little charge out of the box so you can use it straight away but I opted to charge it for the recommended 2 hours before setting it up. Once charged I paired it to the PC via Bluetooth and it worked with no other setup required. For the PC I fired up Rocket League so I could test the Analogue sticks thoroughly. I would normally use an Xbox One pad on this game so moving to something this much smaller did take a little practice, but after a few games everything was going extremely well and I had no issues during the time I played with the responsiveness of the sticks, triggers or buttons.I then paired it to my Raspberry Pi (I am using the Retropie) and there are a few settings within Retropie that I had to change (This is in the Retroarch settings and is all self-explanatory)I then loaded up Retropie where I could find more use for the D-Pad and after 30 minutes of playing Super Mario, I felt like I was using the old SNES pad. As before, everything was very responsive.I have owned and used this controller for a couple of months now and overall it is a very well made and versatile controller. It works with Windows, Android, macOS, Steam and even the Nintendo Switch. There is plenty of playtime (8Bitdo say you get around 18 hours play time on a 2 hour charge) and it is plug and play.I must stipulate that my main reason for this purchase was to use with Retropie and personally, I would not switch out my Xbox One pad when gaming on the PC for this. However, for your retro needs this is a perfect controller.

No motion sensor
Seems good. No motion sensor so bad for the switch. And had issues returning it. Had to contact Amazon because the seller was no help

Packaging is amazing, a real pleasure to unbox
Packaging is amazing, a real pleasure to unbox! Worked immediately once bluetooth connected to my Lenovo Yoga 2 tablet. Was able to remap buttons to accommodate GBA, SNES and N64 emulators and the controller works like a dream - remapping let me create custom layouts to improve controls over the "originals" allowing for the more modern design of this controller compared to the SNES / N64 designs. Lightweight and compact so suitable for easy inclusion in my carry-on travel bag. Comfortable to hold, buttons easily accessible, no lag when playing over bluetooth whatsoever and battery life seems to be fantastic. Plus the design is a great throwback to retro gaming :) Highly recommend for anyone looking for a bluetooth android-compatible controller.

Very good for traveling with
Bought it to use with Nvidia Shield K1 tablet as I needed something portable and the official controller is bulky for travel+expensive. This one is actually well made, pocketable, and also looks really cool. I played all different kinds of games with this, and it made my experience with the tablet a lot better. One minus though is the LED. If you are charging the controller, it shines really brightly, which is annoying.

Lovely controller, definitely one for the retro console fans
Absolutely love this controller, it's very lightweight and looks incredible. I've used the controller with a Raspberry Pi, PC and iOS device without any issues at all. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to find a retro looking controller that doesn't compromise on features or build
