Alessi Orange Peeler, Stainless Steel, Silver

I was looking for an orange peeler as a gift.Something that works, looks elegant and is lasting.I could primarily find plasticky orange peelers during my research.When I found a pic of this guy I thought to myself "this looks perfect".Then I noticed the price of it which dampened my enthusiasm a bit, admittedly.I let it ponder over and decided to give it a shot regardless, and I am very glad I did.This is an expensive orange peeler.BUT,This is such a nice little kitchen accessory. Calling it an orange peeler doesn't really do it justice. It is a piece of art that looks terrific leaving it out on the kitchen surface, where it will always be within reach when you need it. Single cast solid steel, tiny but heavy, durable. Lovely design, it is super cute. Seeing the item makes you think it is of Italian design, and right you are. We call ours Antonio.A little warning though:Antonio is tiny and will be easily lost. Be mindful when using it and don't chuck it with your peelings! Losing this little guy is sure to break your heart.

Expensive but brilliantly simple orange peeler which will last a lifetime.

If needless, beautiful design is your thing - and it is mine - then you'll love this. You don't need an orange peeler, but every time you use this you will smile, and we all need smiles. I bought it twice.

I used to have a little plastic orange peeler, which I loved but unfortunately lost. I bought a pair of metal peelers from amazon and they were absolutely useless.I decided to look for the plastic ones and saw this little gem. After reading reviews, I decided to take the plunge and I am so glad that I did.This is the best little gadget ever! It fits into my hand perfectly and is very, very sharp. Well worth the money.The only problem is that I am now eating far too many oranges because peeling with this tool is extremely addictive and satisfying. Would make the perfect gift for any orange lovers in your life.

Great piece of kit, makes the job of peeling an orange really easy. Only two small cons - could do with being slightly larger and I do think that it is expensive for what it is. Having said that, it works really well and if the need arose I would buy another.

Purchased to replace horrible orange plastic peelers which we frequently throw out with the orange peel. This on the other hand is a classic, beautiful and functional. Pleasure to hold and use.

Great design that fits nicely into the hand. The cutter is nice and sharp and it ploughs through peel.
